That doesn't matter to people who believe that Muslim colonization should be a one-way ratchet. Some are even galled that Spain and parts of southeast Europe are no longer predominately Muslim.
This one-way street you describe, or double standards applied where Israel is concerned, is a sure-fire tell that the critics of Israel (who apply these double standards) are influenced by their antisemitism.
To the thread in general: I repeat my challenge. Let’s discuss Israel with no mention of Jews or their religion. If anyone tells me that one cannot discuss Israel without interjecting Jews because the two are linked, well....think about that.

Just because Muslims build structures over other religions' structures doesn't mean it's right. The Al Aksa Mosque and Dome of the Rock are examples. And there was an attempt to build an Islamic Community Center at Ground Zero, for those few who remember.
You went back and added in content to your post, so I will add in more of a response. The very fact that Muslims wanted to build an Islamic Center at Ground Zero was a slap in the face, at best, and a sign of conquer at worst.

As of course was the Dome of the Rock and Al Aksa.

This is the reason the Palestinians always refuse their own state.
Because that would mean giving up on their completely unrealistic hope of taking over all of Israel.
They are taught to be delusional from a young age. And as you can tell from this forum, they try to spread this delusion to other gullible people. But Isreal has normalized relations with many of it's Muslim neighbors, who would rather see Israel exist in peace, than have Iran threatening the entire region.
And even if they didn't, they have, by far, the best army, air force, and intelligence apparatus in the region. And if all else somehow fails, they have nuclear weapons as a last resort. If all seems lost, they can turn Tehran, Mecca, Medina, Damascus, and Beirut into glass.

Of *course* the two are linked. Israel itself, defines itself as the nation-state of the Jewish people. Thus back to my original point why they won't take actions to annex *all* the West Bank: that would practically mean offering citizenship and voting rights to far too many non-Jews, it would completely disrupt Israel's character and society if you brought in so many Palestinian Arabs that they become a huge voting bloc.
The current situation isn't ideal for either Israel or the Palestinians, but from Israel's point of view I can absolutely see why they're they've done their best to maintain it.

Totally Agree.
The Jewish population is not just going to give up Israel and the Palestinians are going to have to accept this and move towards meaningful dialogue in order that peace and co-existence become the order of the day.
It's also no good just going on about the past, the reality is that Israel exists and will continue to exist whether they like it or not.
At the same time the Israeli police and security services need to listen to some of the complaints from the Palestinian community.
Dialogue is the only sensible way forward, however indoctrination and the belief that Israel must be destroyed, prevents any realistic prospect of peace and meaningful dialogue.

There ya go! Israel and Jews are linked. And that’s why criticism of Israel is so often related to criticism of a Jews. The two cannot be separated.
And true. The last thing Israel wants is to become another majority-Muslim country in the Middle East. There are multiple Muslim-majority countries in the region, and there are as well Christian- and Buddhist-majority countries in various parts of the world. (In fact, there are 27 countries where Islam is the official religion.) Why can’t the Jews have one single little Jewish-majority country, especially given the millennia of persecution against them?

There can’t be meaningful dialogue as long as the Palestinians elect terrorists who want to destroy Israel.
None of that matters, and besides, it not just that the Palestinians don’t like the government - they want Israel gone. I can’t believe you think Israel should grant citizenship to people whose goal is to destroy it. Ridiculous.
There sure are surreal standards demanded of the Jewish State. No other country would be expected to give voting rights to people who will vote to destroy it in whatever way possible. Jews aren’t stupid.
This argument is a lie that makes sense in the right wing Israeli echo chamber but is demonstrably false.
20% of Israel’s population is Arab that is 1.8 million Palestinian citizens (84% Muslims)living in Israel peacefully as Israeli citizens despite facing oppression and discrimination that almost all Americans would find heinous and antithetical to western values of equality.
Palestinians should be made Israeli citizens with equal rights and full franchise. America should not align with a country that is in such opposition to our beliefs that all men are created equal and representative democracy
