And true. The last thing Israel wants is to become another majority-Muslim country in the Middle East. There are multiple Muslim-majority countries in the region, and there are as well Christian- and Buddhist-majority countries in various parts of the world. (In fact, there are 27 countries where Islam is the official religion.) Why can’t the Jews have one single little Jewish-majority country, especially given the millennia of persecution against them?
You believe that in order to keep Israel Jewish it is right that a Jewish man born in Australia can move to an Israel settlement at 40 years of age and become a full citizen and have the same rights as a Jewish person born and raised in a settlement. While a Palestinian born a half a mile a way from the same settlement is denied citizenship and voting rights solely because they are Muslim.

There is also discrimination and oppression of Arab Israeli citizens

As an American who believes all men are created equal and believe in representative democracy I do not want my country supporting an oppressive and discriminatory country. The Arab Israelis live under Jim Crow and the Palestinians in the occupied territories live under apartheid. America Should align with countries that support our values such as italy Canada ,Germany,Uk, France Japan not Israel

The problem is that the policing usually catches people about to make mayhem. The Palestinian activists are not amused if a bombing, knifing or car-ramming is thwarted.

20% of Israel’s population is Arab that is 1.8 million Palestinian citizens (84% Muslims)living in Israel peacefully as Israeli citizens despite facing oppression and discrimination that almost all Americans would find heinous and antithetical to western values of equality.

Palestinians should be made Israeli citizens with equal rights and full franchise. America should not align with a country that is in such opposition to our beliefs that all men are created equal and representative democracy
In other words Israel should commit suicide.

Who is right and who is wrong cannot be dealt with on the internet. We can talk about facts and what steps can be taken in reality. Each group is convinced they are right. I cannot argue with anyone’s deep beliefs.

However , I don’t think the solutions will be found in ancient history, theology or legalities. If (and that’s a big if) an agreement will ever be conceived, it will be based on “here and now”. Basically on the existing situation on the ground. (Today, not in 1000BCE).

The solution is that successive generations in the two camps gradually lose a sense of group identity, which is happening everywhere. Neither side will win, neither will lose, they will realize that they are fighting over nothing.

So did Israel. Ben-Gurion comes to mind. War criminal Arial Sharron comes to mind. Menachem Begin comes to mind.

The Israeli settlers disenfranchised the Palestinians who have ALWAYS live there from their land, and are continuing to deny them rights. The Palestinians always lived there, always. What right did the settlers have to remove them?

The answer to this question according to the settlers, some members of the Israeli government and some Jewish Americans is God. God gave Israel to the Jews. There are settlers and Israelis who believe they have a God given right to oppress the Palestinians and drive them from the land

The Israel government funded Lehava. This would be like the US government funding the KKK. Lehava leadership advocates burning down Christian churches and harasses mixed religion couples because they hate Arab men having relations with Jewish women. They are an Israeli equivalent of the kkk that received government funding. The burned down a mixed Arab Jewish school because of Arab hatred. The criticized zuckerberg for marrying an Asian woman.

These are not American values we believe all men are created equal and do not legislate to discriminate based on religion.

Yeah, that god thingy certainly allows many people to make not only delusional decisions, but genocidal ones.

Countries demographics change. America used to be 89%white it is now 69% white the country is not being destroyed and I would argue the American experiment is stronger than ever.

Should America expel Latinos blacks and Asian to maintain the previous demographics? Oppressing and disenfranchising Arabs because they have had more children than Jewish Israeli is not something Americans should support.

God has nothing to do with this dispute. The only people I see bringing God into this, are the pro-Palestinian posters, like yourself.

Are you saying you have never heard of Meir Kahane? Or Lehava leader bentzi Gopstien a student of Meir Kahane and an adherent of Kahanism, the ideology named for and developed by him and promoted by his banned Kach party in Israel. Kach incited to racism and advocated the expulsion of Arabs from Israel and the Palestinian Territories,[3] and Gopstein praised the 1994 Cave of the Patriarchs massacre committed by fellow Kach member Baruch Goldstein

Saying Palestinians can’t live in peace is gaslighting. 20% of Israel is Arab. 1.8 million million Palestinians living as Israeli citizens peacefully despite facing oppression and discrimination.
