How is saying that "all lives matter" racist? Wouldn't it be more racist if it were targeted towards one race?

BLM(the statement and the statement alone) is about racial injustice. EVEN if you believed that was B.S. and that we are all treated equally and people are overexaggerating, that would mean ALM is a stupid slogan too, since it wouldnt be needed by the logic of the people stating it.

That basically leaves it solely as a retaliatory response to something you just dont want to here.

This is backed up by the fact that these same people are fine with saying Blue Lives Matter instead of All Lives Matter(since you know, All Lives Matter would include police), and since they didnt attack Asians for saying Asian Lives matter.

Every now and then you surprise me and have genuine conversations. Im hoping this is one.

Trump isn’t a conservative.

No actual conservative would ever vote for Trump.
If the alternative was a demented old man being pulled far left by the radical Democrat Socialists, promising free stuff to illegals and racist policies against whitey, oh yes they would!

Huh? Black people wouldn’t want to be friends with non-blacks who think their lives matter too? And you’re equating a Republican with a homophobe?

(This thread sure is showing why conservatives feel they can’t speak freely.)

Breaking off friendships due to politics is nothing new. Even the Founders did it. George Washington and George Mason were neighbors, friends, fellow church vestrymen for decades and of course fellow revolutionaries. Their friendship ended over the debate over the Constitution. Today, Mason's statute has its back to the Washington Monument. Washington was so furious with Jefferson after the release of the Mazzei letter (24 April, 1796), that he stopped speaking and writing to him.

Instead, we just listen to him ramble on and we say nothing in return. It's a shame. His wife never brings up politics, so we enjoy talking with her.

However, I've found out that they solely rely on the MSM for their news. When Trump was in office and the caravans were trying to get into the US, they were surprised when I told them that Mexico had offered all the "migrants" asylum and would settle them in Chiapas. Not only had they not heard this but they didn't know where Chiapas was.

I also have a branch of the family that are all liberals. We see them from time to time and have a good visit. Thankfully, they don't bring up politics. I think they just assume we're all on the same page.

Another branch has a mix of liberals and conservatives. I saw on FB that one cousin supported Bernie. When I casually mentioned that to her brother, he was horrified. He's a conservative. I remembered thinking to myself "Oops! Hope I didn't start a family war!" Yet, in the end, all was fine.
That’s been my experience as well - that liberals restrict their news to the MSM and are woefully unaware of all the positives Trump was responsible for. (CNN admitted that their purpose was to oust Trump, and thus they - and others - lied via omission.) If the media had done its job properly, Trump would have been re-elected.

Leading into the election, a Democrat friend remarked that Trump didn’t do one single thing in response to COVID. When I reminded her that he stopped the Chinese flights as early as January, she was totally stunned. Never heard of it. However, because I defended Trump, she wanted nothing further to do with me, and I haven’t heard from her since. (We had been friends since our teens.)

The right is WAY more accepting of others. That is a given. The left is my way or the highway and they love to bully others. Just look at all the violence, looting and burning the left has done in every city in the US for the past 5 years. Doesn't that tell you all you need to know? Sure they will bring up that ONE in DC that a few crazy people went to, but you can't just erase 5 years of terror by the left that continues to this day!

The right is a friendly proud bunch of people that work. The left? Wow. An angry mob comes to mind that feels owed.

You have had almost 10 years to understand the meaning of BLM, and why saying "ALM" is you drowning out the voices of black people, just because you dont want to talk about racism.

If you havent gotten it at this point, you are never going to because you dont want to. I can also fairly assume you have no actual black friends.

Your party platform does that for me. But even so, i didnt say Republican. I specifically said homophobe. You seemed to have messed up there and accidently projected a little.

Why would you want to be homophobic or racist ? and if speaking freely about either subject loses you friends, then maybe you should be asking yourself why instead of making obtuse comments like you did above.

Both of you are overexaggerating.

CNN+MSNBC+Fox+CBS Nightly News+ NBC +ABC get a whopping 25 million viewers every night. Even if you did assume only liberals watched all of those and that they are unique views, thats about 1/4 of the voting Democratic population.

Also, Trump stopping planes from China was national news.

1) of course I have black friends. I make no distinction as to friends based on skin tone. I go by values and personality.

2) there is no party platform of racism, at least on the Republican side. We do see it on the Democrat side.

3) where did I ever say I want to be homophobe or racist?

Your arrogant, attacking post shows why people like me don’t want to risk speakly freely in front of people like you. In your contempt for people who don’t submit to the liberal narrsrive, you twist things around to accuse them of racism, homophobia, etc.
