Trump spoke about the plight of (white) working class Americans and the corruption of the wealthy elites. That sounds like Marxism: the proletariat vs. the bourgeoisie.
I don't think so. Trump didn't support raising the minimum wage. No wonder. He thought wages were too high as it was. He was only against the wealthy elites who did not support him.
It's a scare tactic the right likes to try and spread. What they don't realize though is that the rest of us KNOW it's nothing more than propaganda in a futile effort to prop up their political agenda which most people don't want.
How very true. For starters, Republicans are vehemently opposed to raising the minimum wage, but the people want it raised. More Republicans than Democrats are strongly opposed to legalizing marijuana, but most people want it legalized.
Most Republicans want all or nearly all abortion banned but most people don't want to go that far with the issue.
Republicans want tax cuts, but voters in Oklahoma City always vote when asked to keep the city sales tax up to pay for new civic improvement projects to make Oklahoma City a more better place to live and to attract new industry and people. It's an excellent example how progressive government polices A approved by citizens can work out quite well.

Since when is striving for democracy (including the elimination of the Electoral College) Marxist?
It's not. But conservatives have to find somebody or something to scapegoat for the ills of the world. Gays used to be highly targeted but have now decided it's time to focus on transsexuals. Soros is getting a little old, so now they have moved on to Marxism, communism, socialism and immigration.
This is to insure that every state gets a say in who becomes president.
That will only work out quite well for conservatives as long as Republicans in some presidential elections win the Electoral College while Democrats win the popular vote. When the opposite happens we'll see if conservatives still want to keep the Electoral College.
The United Nations has been advancing globalism/communism in our country for decades
Their motto has been, "Think Global, Act Local". They have done just that and have infiltrated our government at the national, state and local levels. They have infiltrated our planning commissions and have implemented their "Sustainable Development Agenda" (sla Agenda 21, Agenda 2030) in cities and counties all across the country (check you local general plan).
The "Sustainable Development" & "Smart Growth" agendas are not compatible with the US Constitution. Our elected representatives took an oath to uphold the US Constitution, but many of them have sold our liberty for grant money.
China is gaining power and influence and will eventually run the United Nations.
If we don't restore our Constitutionally limited government and fiscal responsibility, we WILL lose our freedom/country.
The big complaint I have heard about the United Nations all my long life has been how impotent they are; that they talk a lot and do nothing.
China may become a problem, but not because they will take over the UN.
Ineptocracy*(in-ep-toc’-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.
Ha! Word of the day. Good laugh.
Do you remember the Peter Principle? Goes right along with ineptocracy.
I don't depend on only the MSM for my information. I get my information from everything to the Swiss national newspapers (Switzerland is a neutral country with no special axe to grind) to my little local weekly paper which is slanted toward the right and everything in-between. In addition, I am the world's biggest skeptic, always questioning what is being said or written.
More importantly, I am a Democrat - a member of your so-called "left." I volunteer for my local Democratic party organization and I read and post on Democratic forums around the Internet. My fellow Democrats share my values and I would have nothing to do with them if they didn't.
It should go without saying that I want to PRESERVE morality - not destroy it; and that as a Christian, I WORSHIP God and respect the rights of others under the Constitution to worship God or not as their own consciences may dictate. I have a deep respect for the truth and I always seek to discover and PRESERVE what is true - not destroy it.
I love and value our beautiful children. Not only are they our future, they are innocents in need of our protection and guidance. My integrity demands of me that I seek to find that which is pure and true and when I do find it (all too rarely) I do my best to preserve it. Yet I am a "leftist."
When you seek to unjustly vilify and condemn an entire group of people numbering in the millions, you are also condemning each individual in that group with malice aforethought. Where is the decency and goodness in this? Where is your sense of Christian understanding and compassion? Is it possible that you are projecting and that you yourself have accepted the lies of the rightwing media such as Fox and Breitbart?
As a human being and not the false construct that you and others like you would make of me, I reject your lies and slanders about me, and I will pray for your soul.
Very nice post. Here we have a truly good and fair person.
No. Like you are doing to degrade someone who just put up a kind and heartfelt post. Learn to be nice.
