Everything politicians say is said for effect. In this case, she's attempting to sell the idea that voter IDs would be bad for rural folks.
They repeat things like this over and over, and eventually the Lefties on City-Data start repeating it as though it's fact. It's a cumulative effect, and it's how the Left has been able to warp society as badly as they have. If people never bought their BS, they'd never have acquired any power.

I remember the no-thought line that Democrats trotted out about how voter ID was wrong, because you shouldn't need an ID to exercise a constitutional right. Not a single Democrat actually believes that, but it was repeated as nauseum.
I can prove not a single Democrat believes it. Times where you will need a photo ID to exercise a constitutional right: buy a gun, travel back into the country, register to run for office, etc. Never have heard a single Democrat complain.
I live in a rural area and it only requires a ride down to the Sheriff's office, where it will be provided at no charge. ID's are required in rural areas for doctor. pharmacy, etc. Kamala is so far in over her head it's pathetic.

You need ID for pharmacy and doctor? Never heard of that. They need your insurance info, not ID.
I live in a rural area and have no problems getting photo copies when I need it. The library has a copy machine
Also rural. I have an upstairs multifunction printer (actually a Kyocera copier) in the office, and a downstairs MFP for printing off recipes and whatever when we aren't working.
Boy, was it hard learning how to use those things. I'm sure my decades-long career in information technology helped a bit, but wow, that was really tough. I'm glad that good people like Kamala are looking out for my convenience, and only my convenience, when it comes to something as important as voting.

In order to take insurance the doctor/pharmacy has to have a copy of your ID on file. We live in a rural area and outside of our regular doctor (who has our ID on file), we are ALWAYS asked for our ID so they can copy and put in our file.
Just as a note, who is to say you are presenting YOUR insurance, not someone you might have stolen their billfold?

I live in a remote area (town population is less than 400) and have a printer/copier/scanner/fax all-in-one. No problem making photo copies. Those without one can use the one at the town hall or post office. Kamala's ridiculous assertion is one of the most out-of-touch statements I've heard in a long time.
