Wow, the DeSantis virus is really exploding in Florida!

in a few months it will end in Florida and explode in California, let's see how your state handles it.

That's the only reason Florida is so much higher than California, the state that borders Mexico. You can't blame Desantis when Biden is bringing them in on buses and flying them in on Spirit. Why do think Spirit has cancelled so many flights lately?

Besides, Desantis was in Michigan last week, and he's on the way to Las Vegas. How can it be his fault when hes not here? Explain that hmmm.
Haven't you heard DeSantis has spotted Illegals swimming 150 miles from Cancun to the Florida coast line they all go directly to Florida hospitals with Covid fill up those ICU beds.

I actually haven't heard that. I heard they were mainly coming in through Texas so they could stop at Whataburger's on I-10 on the way.

FL ranks 25 for overall Covid deaths. FL has the 2nd highest senior population and 80 percent of deaths were from seniors. FL was fully open for a year plus while many of the 25 states with higher Covid deaths were closed for a year plus. FL in my opinion did better then most states while keeping businesses open and people were able to support their families. The lock downs only delayed the outbreak. In MI which just opened fully in July and has higher deaths then FL when we were closed the cases were low then when we opened the cases went very high to come back down again. That’s the cycle it seems of Covid. The difference is people have the option to get vaccinated now

As for kids half as many kids died from Covid then from pneumonia yearly. Around 330 died from Covid. Yet in the past kids didn’t need masks or home schooling. More kids died of suicide during Covid then of Covid. If teachers get vaccinated there shouldn’t be a concern to them.

Covid is here to stay and there will always be new variants. There has been plenty of time to get the vaccine. Why should vaccinated people have to live life to protect people who are not willing to get the vaccine? The people who got the vaccine took a risk in the unknown of long term issues from the vaccine. The people who are not vaccinated are taking a risk in getting severe Covid

There has to come a point to living life normally and in my opinion that was when the vaccine was fully available.

DeSantis has done a splendid job balancing freedom and sfety.

LOL -- your skill at mocking sarcasm is off the charts here! Love it.

DeSantis: Immigrants are to blame for Florida's Delta outbreak.
Cuban-Americans: Hey, now wait a minute....

Schools cannot require a mask is but it's optional to wear one, is that sound policy. So if there are 50 kids in a classroom and 25 don't wear a mask that is a some sort of solution.

Right, and you responded with something off the wall that made it clear that you didn't read the post I was responding to. Or the one before that.

Of course, you can breathe with a mask on. THAT WAS AN EXPLICITLY STATED PREMISE OF MY ARGUMENT!

A corollary of "you can breathe with a mask on" is that you will put as much Covid into the ambient air with a mask on as without.

There have been other times when California had far more cases than Florida. This is temporary.
