Yes it's not the vaccination rate in these states its the illegals.

Do you feel the same about people who choose not to take a flu shot every year? Flu also spreads and kills people every single year. I’ve never heard of anyone blaming others for giving them the flu or calling people who don’t want the flu shot murderers.
The older people who refuse the Covid vaccine may live to regret it. The younger people may end up with a mild case of Covid and add to our level of herd immunity. If the virus really starts harming more and more people, they will choose to get the shot on their own. The fact is that most people who are vulnerable to this disease have already been vaccinated.
If Covid were severe enough to larger segments of the population they wouldn’t need a PR campaign to convince young people to take the jab.

It's silly to make decision on them.
Some have very strong immune systems. Not all human bodies are the same, so blanket, "one size fits all" remedies are useless.
Some have NEVER gotten the flu, the ONLY time they got the flu was AFTER getting vaccinated, or even a cold, so why should they get a vaccine shot anymore?
The same could be, see I used "could", be said about covid. We DON"T KNOW yet.
As the article points out, conservative media and vocal GOPs have been sowing vaccine hesitation among their audience. This phenomenon is documented. The GOP has done nothing to denounce these conservative megaphones. So please, lets not indulge in false equivalence.
Being purposely obtuse doesn’t help your argument either. As the poll shows, Americans correctly identify conservative media to be one of the major road blocks to our vaccination goals.
I understand our dear friends on the other side of the aisle are sour about 2020. I get their strategy is to obstruct obstruct obstruct.
But at the cost of American lives in a pandemic?
