We are at 1.1 Deg C (2 Deg F) and going to 1.5 degrees even with radical sudden changes in consumption but we really need to change our habits rapidly.

Quote:
The report, approved by 195 governments and based on more than 14,000 studies, is the most comprehensive summary to date of the physical science of climate change. It will be a focal point when diplomats gather in November at a U.N. summit in Glasgow to discuss how to step up their efforts to reduce emissions.

A growing number of world leaders, including President Biden, have endorsed the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, though current policies in the major polluting countries are still far off-track from achieving that target. The 10 biggest emitters of greenhouse gases are China, the United States, the European Union, India, Russia, Japan, Brazil, Indonesia, Iran and Canada.

The new report leaves no doubt that humans are responsible for global warming, concluding that essentially all of the rise in global average temperatures since the 19th century has been driven by nations burning fossil fuels, clearing forests and loading the atmosphere with greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and methane that trap heat.

And only the surrender of more of our liberties to Big Brother (a trend which industrializing dictatorships will ignore anyway) can "save" us,

The arrogance to believe that humans can change the climate of the earth is just hysterical. Oh no, the temperature of the earth rose 2 degrees. I guess that’s never happened before in the history of our planet.

the war on terror destabilized the world and is responsible for the latest refugee/authoritarian issues

climate change is showing itself in global ocean current change which is not really relatable to local temperature highs and lows..so we have a vocal minority that whines about any effect at all

Why don’t they ever talk about population control?
Wouldn’t lessening human population make the biggest impact?
We seem to still be encouraging huge families and no responsible birth control.

Humans aren't going to control the weather, and we're not going to shut down the economy and give control to the left. Sorry.

Wow, 195 governments said so. Must be true.

What ever happened to the idea that government isn't to be trusted? That's one of the foundational principles of the United States, yet here we are, with people bowing to their masters and demanding their own enslavement.

The world is ending, so you must give up your freedom and everything which makes you happy in order to save it. So sayeth the Governments.

You're all suckers.

Climate science is a modeling science. We can't reproduce the climate, so we can't conduct repeatable, controlled experiments on it. It's all guesswork. Educated guesses, sure, but guesses nonetheless.

So many decades after the idea of climate catastrophe went up for sale, we have some history we can look at. How many predictions were made? How many were accurate, or even somewhat close to accurate?

Can anyone even cite one dire prediction, which are the ones used to drive fear and policy, which even sort of came true? No. You can't. Because it's all worst case scenario stuff, not what's likely to happen, but y'all are convinced that it's what WILL happen, unless you just give up that much more of your freedom.

SUCKERS

They do talk about it, just not publicly because it's a REALLY unpopular idea, for obvious reasons.

If you're referring to the western world, you're totally wrong. We're not encouraging large families.

We're telling women that having a baby is the worst experience they can imagine. Abortion is now "celebrated" with parades and TV specials for them. Children are having their sexuality destroyed with all the transgender/nonbinary/lgbt bull****. Do you think any of those kids are going to reproduce? They'll be lucky if they don't commit suicide by the time they're 30. Raise a family? Are you nuts?

Don't worry. TPTB have gone to great lengths to make your wish a reality. The population will fall. You'll probably be one of the people who starves to death, but hey, you're good with that, right? Gotta bring down those numbers.
