Well, Civil War II came and went. The current USA split into two new countries: United States of True America (USTA), bringing back the America that once was, and Sorosfaucistan (SFS), named after the founding sponsors. The nature of each country and the quality of life there are self-explanatory.

So... where would each state go? Let's discuss! Post your own ideas as well. Have fun.

LOL, good post. Pennsylvania would clearly be a battleground state, most of PA is conservative except for inner city Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. We would not go quietly into the communist area.

Ohio is the same. Inner City Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati are meccas of liberal idiocy. The rest of the state is still in the Late Great United States.

If you look at the statistics of how many Americans actually vote, my guess is most Americans don’t care this much about politics to split up the country. Most years we only get just above half the eligible population voting in the biggest elections, the presidential elections. Everyone was so excited last year because so many people voted and that was still only in the 60 percentage range.

So only about half the population is motivated enough to even get out and vote in the biggest election (let alone other elections). And of the half that do vote, how many of them are really zealous enough that they would want to rip the country apart risking their welfare, property, security, and lives if the political outcome isn’t to their liking? I would bet money that most people who vote, vote for what they feel is the lesser of two evils, may feel happy a little disappointed the day after when they find out who won, and then they go on with their lives until the next presidential election.

According to an initial analysis of the Brookings Institute, https://www.brookings.edu/blog/the-a...onomic-divide/ fully 71% of the nation's economic activity occurs in counties that voted for Biden.

Even if they were to split off into their own Divided States of America, who in their right mind would want to live there?

Agreed....its more about urban America, the federal gov't, the media, hard left Libs, most of the top 1%, versus all the rest of us.

Aligning by state is illogical because States are too large. Maybe by school clusters, or voting precincts, or zip codes could work. People wouldn't have to move so far.

I'll play along with this Civil War II scenario, and respectfully and objectively besides.

It would be very long and drawn out. Best case scenario for Team Red is they get most of the food, oil, and mining areas; plus most of the Gulf of Mexico for foreign trade (although they'd have inherited a devastated Houston and New Orleans, both blue strongholds within largely red states and so naturally fiercely contested by a long siege, so even that's a wash - at least in the short run). Blue will get most, if not all, of the Northeast, the West Coast

Debatable areas: AZ, NM, and maybe CO if CA can project its power that far. I'd even throw most of the southern half of Texas as well, IF they can keep their land connection with Mexico. CO and NM I'm less certain of due to Texas being nearby, and thus can overwhelm those two states. It all boils down to the CA/TX balance of power in the Southwest and their respective power projection abilities

I'd also call the immediate Great Lakes debatable, especially areas near the Canadian Border.

Florida from I-4 south, also debatable. Same goes for the rest of the Atlantic Southeast, especially in VA, GA, and maybe NC. Regardless, I do see SC as being the Red stronghold in this region. Question here is whether they can link up with S. GA and in turn link with N. FL/S. AL and from there the rest of "Red America". Regardless, the fighting in this area would be fierce. Same goes for the southern half of Texas (S.A., Austin, and Houston).

Blue America would have the advantage of maritime trade, especially if a substantial portion of the navy (particularly the carriers) sides with that area. It doesn't have to be able to outright defeat the "Red" Navy, only be strong enough to make Red think long and hard if the benefits of a victory over Blue are really worth the inevitable hurt Red incurs even if it does win). In any case, there'd be plenty of foreign trade access, even if (in the worst case) they'd have to go through Canada and/or Mexico. Blue would also have land-based geographic advantages: mountains on their inland sides. Granted more so on the West Coast than East, but even so. Think Afghanistan with trees. They'd also have the most of the highest-prestige scientific and technical infrastructure, letting them develop more advanced weapons.

Now, China or Russia might want to help them, to get rid of the US as a superpower, but that is a bridge we will cross when it happens. Hopefully they haven't already succeeded.
Have you not heard of siege warfare? It would take only small bands of men to disrupt all supply chains to the major cities. All of the food comes to the city from rural farms and processing plants via road and rail. All of the water from distant reservoirs and aqueducts. Railroads, highways, water mains are easily destroyed; bridges and tunnels are most vulnerable. Even airport runways are easily destroyed. If CWII breaks out the city is the last place you want to be.

There won't likely be a civil war and hopefully there won't be.

If the country were to divide peacefully, I doubt it would be on straight state border lines.

Rural Michigan wants nothing to do with the woke policies of southeast Michigan.

Same in Chicago.

* In the city proper, people are living like rats: hoarding food in their homes, not eating it anywhere else, and bolting when they see a person. Restaurant workers go Karen on you for asking if you can pay in cash. Looters, of course, are exempt, and get SFS government support.

* In inner suburbs, you see people getting together outside and talking, but with masks on and 6 feet apart. Still, god help you if you get too close; you'll get torn a new one so bad, you'll feel violated.

* West of I-355, you see people having picnics or hiking, talking to others naked-faced, hugging, and shaking hands. But only outside; nobody visits anyone or goes into restaurants.

* West of Fox River, you're basically in USTA: crowds with no a mask in sight, and people actually being human.

* Of course, you also have pockets of USTA "insurgents" deep in the SFS lands. The kind that get together in homes or defiant restaurants, while parking elsewhere to avoid getting narc'ed on. That would be all my newer friends, who I hope aren't RINO infiltrators. Liberal former friends can pound sand in SFS.
