If we had a civil war the end result would be the western US would be controlled by China, the eastern half by Russia. They would both pillage our resources. They would probably let us battle for a while until our resources waned and our economy crumbled. Then they would step in.
To assume we would engage in civil war and it would happen in a vacuum without our enemies piling on and taking advantage of the situation is naive. Careful what you wish for.
I've grown tired of Hollywood progressivism. Maybe China coming in to get rid of it would be a good thing. I don't like authoritarians and the western elites have turned into authoritarians targeting traditional conservatism... so what's the difference if we have one authoritarian here versus another? I'm not exactly sure who the players are that have started this cancel culture movement... if it's simply generation soy (the millennials) or if it's the old guard Soros/Rothchild types and the ones that run the Federal Reserve and are CFR members. Our politicians have become too corrupt, too inept, too complacent, too ineffective. We let ourselves get walked on by other countries now that these progressives are in power... it's like they hate America, or what it used to stand for, so they destroy it from within. Either that or they are too busy lobbying to try to build their fortunes while they are in office to even care about domestic policy. It's hard to pinpoint exactly, but there's something about this culture today that just feels wrong... why are they so insistent on letting hundreds of thousands of illegals flood in here without covid tests or vaccines?
There will be no vs them civil war as we know it or assume it will be.
It will not work in this day and age. It will be closer to The Walking Dead with gangs, groups, religious sects, several new nation states and the residue of the US.
The South and Midwest might secede and become the United States of ‘Murica (USM). As a result, the remaining USA would be split in half. Not sure if they would become two separate countries, like the US of the West and US of the East. Or maybe the rest of the USA could just merge with Canada, assuming the Canadians allow it.
I doubt we would.
Being a country of only 37 million, and suddenly absorbing tens of millions of foreigners at once, wouldn't make sense or serve our best interests.

So you are saying having communists invade our country is somehow better than having some states run by democrats?
There won't likely be a civil war and hopefully there won't be.
If the country were to divide peacefully, I doubt it would be on straight state border lines.
Rural Michigan wants nothing to do with the woke policies of southeast Michigan.
I’m sorry but Michigan is lost. My visit there in November shocked me, the people there so eager to surrender their liberties for their governors rona restrictions. Overwhelmingly michiganians desired saftey over liberty. You could not go into stores, everyone wore masks, couldn’t eat in restaurants……it was awful to see. I ended my trip early and returned to America.
If you live in Michigan and love freedom and democracy I would suggest moving to a red state before the breakup of the country. The enemy firmly has Michigan along with the rest of the upper Midwest. Much of the country is lost to socialism and authoritarianism. It would take an awful civil war to reverse this….better to peacefully separate than to see that happen.
I'll play along with this Civil War II scenario, and respectfully and objectively besides.
It would be very long and drawn out. Best case scenario for Team Red is they get most of the food, oil, and mining areas; plus most of the Gulf of Mexico for foreign trade (although they'd have inherited a devastated Houston and New Orleans, both blue strongholds within largely red states and so naturally fiercely contested by a long siege, so even that's a wash - at least in the short run). Blue will get most, if not all, of the Northeast, the West Coast
Debatable areas: AZ, NM, and maybe CO if CA can project its power that far. I'd even throw most of the southern half of Texas as well, IF they can keep their land connection with Mexico. CO and NM I'm less certain of due to Texas being nearby, and thus can overwhelm those two states. It all boils down to the CA/TX balance of power in the Southwest and their respective power projection abilities
I'd also call the immediate Great Lakes debatable, especially areas near the Canadian Border.
Florida from I-4 south, also debatable. Same goes for the rest of the Atlantic Southeast, especially in VA, GA, and maybe NC. Regardless, I do see SC as being the Red stronghold in this region. Question here is whether they can link up with S. GA and in turn link with N. FL/S. AL and from there the rest of "Red America". Regardless, the fighting in this area would be fierce. Same goes for the southern half of Texas (S.A., Austin, and Houston).
Blue America would have the advantage of maritime trade, especially if a substantial portion of the navy (particularly the carriers) sides with that area. It doesn't have to be able to outright defeat the "Red" Navy, only be strong enough to make Red think long and hard if the benefits of a victory over Blue are really worth the inevitable hurt Red incurs even if it does win). In any case, there'd be plenty of foreign trade access, even if (in the worst case) they'd have to go through Canada and/or Mexico. Blue would also have land-based geographic advantages: mountains on their inland sides. Granted more so on the West Coast than East, but even so. Think Afghanistan with trees. They'd also have the most of the highest-prestige scientific and technical infrastructure, letting them develop more advanced weapons.
It might be worth remembering over 45% of our nation’s military members call the South their home of record, with Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina leading. Those Georgia troops are not coming from Atlanta, either. The troops are also disproportionately from rural areas.

The democrats have become communists and are barely distinguishable from other totalitarians.
1. open borders destroying national culture and flooding the nation with dependents with zero skills
2. banning and destroying any views that oppose far left doctrine
3. destroying the family unit with incentives for single parent families and "alternative" families
4. attacking the church to eliminate any loyalty to anything but the state
5. creating a permanent serf class of citizens who are dependent upon the government
6. opposing the US constitution and the rule of law
7. Allowing terrorist groups, such as BLM and ANTIFA, to terrorize citizens without penalty
8. Revising history with CRT
9. Fomenting and supporting racial tensions to destroy the unity of the nation
10. permissive policy to totalitarian regimes who seek to destroy the US
It was always said that America could only be defeated from within and the democrats/liberals are doing their level best to bring down the nation. Liberals have done more damage than the Nazis and Japanese could muster in WW2.

Any civil war is a victory for the Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic, and its plan to eradicate the republican form of government.
