They will move the goal posts. First, they focus on access to the vaccines. Then they mandate it so they reach the 80% quota. Then they move it as close to 100% by coercion: workplace and school mandates, vaccine passports, squeezing the unvaccinated out of all public life, and publicly vilifying the unvaccinated.

Medical exemptions really don't mean much in these scenarios.

And then, they will institute the nationwide passport system like France, and other countries. That's hard to do in the US,but NZ could pull it off. And that passport system will require the boosters, because if you look at Israel the vaccines wane. The vaccinated still spread the virus and can end up in the hospital. The world is 18 months ahead of NZ, so just look around. This doesn't end by giving people access to vaccines.
I can't really see it happening myself, but never say never is my motto.

Not much can be done if private business has it's own vaccine requirements, but if there was ever an attempt to block my access to government facilities/services, I would have no compunction in destroying any government property, and would view any State representative an an enemy combatant.

Even if one doesn't support lockdowns, this statement doesn't observe the usual convention of putting a claim in context ... D-

Explain how when New York metro area was locked down, more cases were coming from people mostly staying at home than the essential workers? During this time, before the George Floyd protests, people in the NYC area were actually staying home.

Whatever you call it---wide scale home confinement of well people is not scientifically validated.

I would tend to agree, it's more like game theory, and I'm not sure if I would regard game theory as science proper.

No, you're missing the pint. Let's go back to the beginning. One covid case surfaced. Let's assume a 2 week incubation period. That one case must have come from somewhere and must have been spreading it. So, immediate lockdown and contact tracing. (That resulted in 2 family members requiring covid testing. It also turns out that my lady was at a place of interest where an infected person went the day before). So now the source gets determined (it got out of a quarantine facility), people at risk get traced and so on. Many of the exposed people start getting sick and there whereabouts get traced and so on. Eventually, everyone who was exposed and infected get sick. The last I looked it was 154. Obviously more have surfaced but sooner or later it will stop.

In the meantime, steps are being taken to get businesses back into operation. I'll be taking my lady for a covid test just to make sure even though the chances are small.

Remember that we are only 26% vaccinated.

On the covid passport thing, I don't see the point. What exactly is it going to do? Allow a sick person to pass? Hey, look at me, I'm sick with covid but I have my passport so all's good. The passport means nothing.

And as for further lockdowns, I'm not in favor of it. The Delta variant seems to be far too virulent for lockdowns to be effective long term. It's going to have to be cautions. Some of you mask haters are going to hate this but masks are going to be a thing. I don't mind because I hate being sneezed on anyway. Or coughed on.

Working from home is going to become even bigger than it has been.
