To make matters worse, Biden sent the State Department civilian contractors packing, severely crippling the Afghan military’s ability to fight, while at the same time Biden’s termination of the Doha agreement led to the Taliban’s sudden and fierce takeover of the country’s key cities. T orecap, Biden causes the Taliban advance, and immediately cuts the Afghan Army off at the knees, so they cannot fight.

Departure of U.S. Contractors Poses Myriad Problems for Afghan Military - June 19

The Afghan government has always relied heavily on foreign contractors and trainers. As of this spring, there were over 18,000 Defense Department contractors in Afghanistan, including 6,000 Americans, 5,000 Afghans and 7,000 from other countries, 40 percent of whom are responsible for logistics, maintenance or training tasks, according to John F. Sopko, the special inspector general for Afghanistan reconstruction.

The Afghan security forces rely on these contractors to maintain their equipment, manage supply chains and train their military and police to operate the advanced equipment that the United States has bought for them.

Biden Blamed for Afghan Fiasco - Aug 16

Yet having decided in April to set the Sept. 11 anniversary as the date for the final American withdrawal, he and his aides failed to get the interpreters and others who helped American forces out of the country fast enough, and they were mired in immigration paperwork. There was no reliable mechanism in place for contractors to keep the Afghan Air Force flying as Americans packed up. The plan Mr. Biden talked about in late June to create what he called an “over-the-horizon capability” to bolster the Afghan forces in case Kabul was threatened was only half-baked before those Afghan forces collapsed.

Suffice it to say, I am GLAD that Donald Trump is not in the White House.
I really don't want to talk about Donald Trump, his lack of leadership and his incompetence...

Have a nice afternoon.

WC out

I can admit Trump made the deal, but Biden broke the agreement and is responsible for withdrawing troops, leaving behind tens of thousands of civilians and all the equipment.

That's on Biden. If the agreement was so bad, Biden should have taken the Military's advice and not gone along with it. He didn't. He also ignored the warnings from 13 diplomats who warned him there would be a catastrophe with the Taliban if he withdrew and he was urged to remove all Americans. Didn't care enough to remove those Americans before withdrawing troops and now they can't get out.

Bonehead Biden's blunder. You want to ignore it and keep talking about Trump's deal. Trump isn't in charge - Biden is the one who screwed this up and has blood on his hands.

And evidently, you have no problem talking about Trump’s lack of leadership and incompetence. You’ve been doing it for several pages. What you don’t want to talk about is Biden’s lack of leadership and incompetence. That’s why you’ve been bringing up Trump every chance you get.

Everyone agrees that Biden is responsible for the present circumstance.

He said so in the news conference.

"Negotiating with the Taliban is like dealing with the devil," former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley.

Biden wouldn't have had to negotiate with the Taliban if he'd had the sense to remove all civilians before removing troops. A high school student would have known better.

This is an epic failure that has, and will have, horrific results for some time. Lost lives, national security problems, potential attacks on our country, angry allies, lost faith and credibility in our nation, and a weakened position in the world.

It's a disgrace.
