they were formed to end homeless. How is that working out? the biggest city with homeless in the nation today is NYC with over 78,000 people, FDR's home. Ironic.

If Roosevelt was such a bad president against the country then explain how in the heck did he win reelection in 1936 by 61%. The Republican only got 36.5%. Do you theorize Americans were even more vastly ignorant during the 1930s than they are now?

We already have Bidenvilles at the southern border. 10,000+ mostly Haitians are living under a bridge, awaiting processing in just one TX town, Del Rio, because the intake facilities are already overcrowded.

And homeless tent towns have been around for decades, particularly numerous in blue cities and states.

"data from the Department of Housing and Urban Development show that homelessness is, in fact, more prevalent in states that voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016. What’s more, states that voted for Trump — and, therefore, are often led by Republicans — have seen larger drops in their homeless populations."

Most of that goes to rent and food. A good retiring plan is for you to make at least 50% of what you were making. $1,500 a month? Is not even 1/4 for most of us.
Ha, in low cost of living Red States, $1,500 a month works, if the mortgage is paid off.

so you are saying the people always make the right choice in the booth especially when the government's propaganda was at all time high. He bought votes with socialism and then WW 2 bailed him out.

He created a bad precedent that a President can constantly violate the constitution and get away with it. If Trump did half the violations FDR did, you Democrats would be demanding an impeachment and be protesting every day.

Imagine if Trump orders all American Muslims to be rounded up and take their properties and put them in camps and wants to ignore Congress and stack up the S.C. to pass an extreme agenda. Would you rate that as a great President? FDR's list of raping the constitution is long but you judge Presidents by their size of their electoral victory and ignore the acts and consequences.

Terrible terrible president.
Maybe Herbert Hoover or Calvin Coolidge was more to your liking. Maybe even Grover Cleveland.

Just one small vote here giving him a 9, but it's the historians who count and they rate him as one of the best of all time up near Lincoln.

if the mortgage is paid off. I guess homes are maintenance free. When things start breaking, $1,500 is not very much to cover for everything. You know how much it cost to fix the furnace, AC, roof, plumbing and electrical? forget a basic car with maintenance and gas. Only 65% of Americans owns homes. So you told 35% to take a hike.

If you think $1,500 a month (average, I seen less) with $255 Death payment to cover your funeral is a great retirement plan then keep voting Democrat. Others believe there are better plans with a higher return and real control from the people that actually pays in.

The price of a lot of this "trap-crap" has been mitigated by the creation of IRAs and 401-Ks -- which are going to blunt and mitigate the consequences when the Social Security Ponzt scheme falters again.

And "the writing is already on the wall" that when that day comes, the Democrats and their captive clientele of losers and ne'er-do-wells will start the clamor to seize and "redistribute" the rewards of other peoples' efforts among the "point, grunt and slobber" element.
