Oh, of course the Keystone pipeline would have had nothing to do with the oil supply here in the U.S.

It's terrifying that people like you vote.

Actually it hasn't even started yet because the Fed is still pumping the markets.
Just wait until the Fed pulls back and the stock market has to stand on its own....

Then we'll see the inflation.

It’s the size of the monthly payment……………….it should not increase 10 fold in 34 years……..

I work in the oil industry. I have some idea of what happens with crude oil. Perhaps the oil from Keystone XL would not be exported, since Gulf Coast refineries are mostly optimized for heavy crude, but it would allow export of bigger volumes of lighter crude. That's been happening for a while, where we import heavier crude and export lighter crude.

House prices have increased a lot since then. In 1982, my parents bought a new house West of Houston for $95,000. Their payment for principal and interest was $950 because of the 11.5% interest rate. That house is now worth $225,000, and the payment at current rates would be $1,004. In California, house prices have gone up far more than here in Houston, so payments will be higher.

Some people are not specific regarding Keystone or Keystone XL. It sure causes confusions.

Global food prices are up 33%.

US house prices are up 18% over last year.

Rents are up 9%.

Gasoline as of today is on average up 56% from one year ago. (Gas prices are the highest they’ve been in 7 years).

Used car prices are up an average of 32.7%.

Considering the largest amount of monthly expenses are put towards housing, food, car payment and fuel, this is extremely bad.

The 5.4% rate I quoted includes housing, food and fuel. The core inflation rate excluding food and energy is 4%:

“Gas prices are the highest they’ve been in 7 years”

So zero inflation in gas over the past 7 years? OK! In fact, gasoline today is about the same, in real dollars, as it was 50 years ago.

I bought some stew meat (crappy meat) and it was $7/lb . Guess I won't be having that much stew this winter if prices keep rising.

Average price changes from Sep 2020 to Sep 2021

My poor little tummy would totally revolt on that combination.
