She contacted the parents and told them their son was gay and they needed to except it. This sounds like some homophobic parent found out their kid might be gay (exactly why these clubs are hidden) and lost their ish.
When I was growing up a neighbor of mine was the stereotypical tomboy until she reached the age of about 15 or so. After that she oozed femininity. This dimwit teacher would have argued that she was a lesbian.

Its a link to a twitter thread and unless i missed it the mom never actually said any of this in her speech which is also in the twitter thread.
Lets also be clear, the school didnt legally change anyone's name(at least, the twitter thread doesnt claim they did), all they did was call children by their preferred name.
