Unvaccinated no shots in next 2 to 3 weeks if you go out to a lot of places IMO you have a 60% to 65% chance of getting Delta or Omicron and like 60% to 70% chance you will be in the hospital

Anybody with a min of 2 shots you only have a like 20% to 25% going to the hospital if you get Covid

Time to get vaxxed so with can end this in 15 months not 5 years
You believe that 70% of the entire unvaccinated population will be in the hospital within the next 2-3 weeks?

On what evidence are you basing that statistic?

CDC estimates possibly 60% of population has 2 shots (interesting stat: 9% of the US population is <5 years old). Which leaves 40% defined as unvaccinated ...

Do the math. Let us know how your prediction goes.

Good grief.

No, but it's more proof that it doesn't matter if you have both shots and the booster. The reality is you're going to get at some point. I'm double vaxxed but I'm passing on the booster. It's time to stop this nonsense. How much longer are you willing to entertain this? Better yet, how much longer are you going to keep your fake smile on when you're asked to show that little card for everything that pertains to your life?

NY, and particularly NYC, have some of the highest vaccination rates, and greatest degrees of restrictions, of any place in the nation. NY has also led the nation in new cases for days. Pretty obvious that the jab ain't doing it's job. Fortunately, we can hope that acquired immunity due to exposure will provide real protection-and that exposure to Omicron will protect against all variants.

CityMD closing 13 NYC locations due to staffing shortages.

Looks like testing availability is only going to get worse in NYC.

Omicron will correct this situation. TAKE OFF THE MASKS and let Omicron bring an end to this insanity. Everyone should follow the science.

Do you realize that if 90% of NYC is vaccinated that that means there are nearly 1,000,000 unvaccinated there.if just 1% got really sick that is 10,000 people. Percentages are funny when working with large numbers.

Vaccinated are testing positive in large numbers.

That's why the majority of Broadway shows are closed - even though they're entirely vaccinated.

That's why restaurants are closing - even though the staff is entirely vaccinated.

Just as with Delta, when the majority of those vaccinateds resistance starts to wear off and people start getting sick in droves, a new variant emerges to take the blame. Never does anyone look at the ineffective vaccine as the problem.

And there is more to come, as some systems have designated a date in early January as a deadline for the shot or the door.

As a former hospital employee (quit years ago once they declared war on their employees), I still have friends and family who are happy to report on the reality. And it's generally nothing like what the hospital spokesperson is reporting to the media. "We are FULL" translation is "We have forced out 50 staff members this week and had to shut down 6 units....so instead of having 100 staffed beds, we now have 50 and each RN has 10 patients instead of 7". So now the hospital is diverting to others in the area that are "quickly becoming OVERWHELMED" because THEY have also let staff go and have closed units... and the bonus is they are hiring BACK that staff as travel nurses at $$$$$$$ OR they are grabbing new grads and tossing them into the fray.

Yeah, that's the reality of being "unprepared" and "surprised" and "overwhelmed"...watch your hospital admission bills and surgical bills go through the stratosphere in the coming year.

No shot, no mask, no fear here - had it twice, old/cancer survivor/fat/HBP/pre-diabetic (thanks dad!) and I sat on my couch for two weeks and survived. Enough already.
entire units are not being shut down in droves. that's as insane as people overreacting to the new variant. yes some health care workers have been let go because of these absurd mandates but it's not nearly as many as you're making it out to be. The compliance is in the high 90s.

The fact that omicron is looking to be far less severe (80% lower risk of hospitalization) plays right into Brandon/CDC being able to claim that the vaccine their pushing is the reason for the drop in hospitalization and not the fact that omicron is a covid dud.
