Going beyond the rollout to the elderly - here are the first few and last few states to roll out the vaccine across the board to all adults:

First:
  1. Alaska (March 1)
  2. Mississippi (March 16)
  3. West Virginia (March 22)
  4. Arizona (March 24)
  5. Utah (March 24)

Last: (all 7 listed on April 19)
  1. Hawaii
  2. Massachusetts
  3. New Jersey
  4. Oregon
  5. Pennsylvania
  6. Rhode Island
  7. Vermont

See a pattern here?

Btw, Florida was April 5 - middle of the pack but earlier than Illinois (April 12), California (April 15), and New York (April 6). Texas, which also gets a lot of crap, was March 29.

I'll let you decide which group did a better job with the rollout.

A hater lol?

The fact that you would even think someone would be emotional enough to love OR hate a politician is bizarre to me.

So you're a lover? Strange concept of politics to me.

I broke up at Stephen Colbert the other night when he said:

“We’ve got an update from the opposite of schools — Florida. You cross the border, knowledge leaves.”

and

“Omicron is hitting Florida hard. In fact, in two weeks COVID cases there rose by 948%. At this point, they should start counting everyone in Florida who doesn’t have COVID. So, congratulations, Carl."

“Carl’s an alligator. He’s the only one who’ll wear a mask,”

Didn't he do a skit with dancing, singing, Covid vaccines? And doesn't Greg Gutfeld routinely trounce Colbert in the ratings?

All the hate towards Florida is just more proof that Florida is doing it right.

I know quite a few people in FLA who got covid, but not any that were hospitalized, or even went to a hospital, or a Doctor.

Most people I know got the jabs, and now go about their normal lives as they did before. Some mask indoors in public places, but most don't. I know a couple that had breakthrough covid, but it was minor.

I'd say 1/3rd of the shoppers at the grocery stores have masks on and 2/3rds don't.

I'm glad I live in a state that puts personal freedoms 1st, and where most people do the right thing w/o being ordered to, but don't go over the top shuttering in fear.

Freedom first for me please, but I respect others rights to be scared out of their minds over it, and put it on full display daily. I must admit, I am starting to roll my eyes at them more and more, after having Omicron myself, which is less severe than a real cold.

Florida has a much higher percentage of high risk elderly. The high risk got their vaccinations in Florida first and foremost which made sense. Once they started offering the vaccine to the younger/lower risks groups demand went down considerably.

Bloody claims to be a Republican but won’t vote for any. Interesting isn’t it.

Makes sense. The stat that I laid out shows pretty definitively that Florida did a pretty damn good job rolling out the vaccines. Almost a full two weeks earlier than vaccine-obsessed California. And the last 7 states being democrat states....well....
