Trump's Accountants: 10 Years' Worth of Financial Statements No Longer Valid

The evidence continues to mount showing that Donald Trump and the Trump Organization used fraudulent and misleading financial statements to obtain economic benefit.

George Conway helpfully translated Trump's accounting firm's letter:

"decision regarding the financial statements"
: = They are false because you lied

"totality of the circumstances"
= The District Attorney means business

"non-waivable conflict of interest" = We are now on Team DA

"not able to provide new work product" = Sorry, we're not going to jail for the Trump Organization

Saw an article this morning about Trump defending Trump Org's financials. Within his statement he said Hillary should get the death penalty. What the what?

Why do you believe so strongly that he has done something wrong? Because other people say? A news article means nothing, let it go to court and then let the chips fall where they may.
In other words, you have nothing but your feelings, or you are actively trolling.

Not one article - hundreds being generated every day. There are currently 19 investigations of Trump and his business. Some of the possibles are election tampering, bank fraud, insurance fraud, obstruction of justice, and inciting the crowd on 1/6, whatever you wish to call it. Do you really think this is normal? Can you name any other individual who is in the sights of the Manhattan DA, the NYAG, the DCAG, the Fulton County DA, a Congressional Committee, and possibly the DOJ? Do you think all of them are out to "get Trump", or do you believe they are simply LEOs doing their jobs?

All people have their kinks. No judgement here about that, but the two are certainly not mutually exclusive.

^Not my "cup of pee", but to each their own....

This simply means there is a conflict of interest in cooperating with Tish James and continuing to represent Trump.

Conway nailed it. He is a genuine republican, BTW.

I have no doubt that the Trump Organization has always operated on the fringe and possibly has done things illegaly but look at the names of who is investigating and tell me you can't see that certainly most if not all are likely to be politically based.

i think it is more "not normal" because of the extent certain groups are truly out to get him than because of what he or the organization may have done.

That argument was made by Trump's attorneys, and rejected in toto by the judge. One of them tried to argue that Tump was a member of a protected class. Strike two.

What the Trumps need to do is give their depositions and explain why the company's books look funny. I'm certain there is a logical explanation, right?

Yep. Totally respectable, in the same way William Buckley was. You didn't have to agree with him to have a rational discussion without personal invective.

I'm old enough to remember when both parties wanted the same things and only disagreed on how to get from point A to point B. Even 25 years ago the two sides would argue at work and go out for dinner or golf on the weekends. Times have changed for the worse. Democrats and republicans should not view each other as enemies.

I think it is way too late for that. And this is way more fun. Being total snarks from the safety of our own home and getting our snarkiness out to at least part of the masses.

But the best part of this to me is the fact that true believers of any stripe look like idiots as often as they do like they are on the mark. And they are fair game when when they look like idiots.

I am eagerly awaiting for Trump to claim the 5th a gazillion times in order to demonstrate this principle to a few righties on this thread.
