Sinema and Kelly agreed that in theory, we could switch to Mountain Daylight Time if the state wished to do that.

So Arizona will be a Mountain Time Zone state, time will be with Pacific Zone states permanently, if bill passes.confused:

I'd rather we go to permanent Standard Time. Out here in the southwest we sure don't need another hour of the hot sun in the evening in the summer. It increases the costs of our air conditioning.

I'm all for getting rid of changing the clocks - however, there have been multiple studies that show it's healthiest and best for our circadian rhythms to be on standard time, not daylight time.

The healthiest thing is to always wake up before sunrise and never sleep during times of daylight.

Personally, though, in Miami our daylight patterns change so little that I always get up before sunrise regardless of the change in clocks

About time, and they picked right. The "Standard Time" nazis were going to try to rob us of evening light in the summer. Well done, now the house has to vote and Brandon has to find his pen

Standard Time Nazis? Why do people in the northeast need daylight till 10 pm in the evening in the summer? Here in the southwest it means hotter evenings. I thought we were supposed to be concerned about energy conservation?

Standard Time was never an original time. Let's get back to normal it no longer serves a purpose.

In New York daylight maximum is like 8:30 pm in June. With Standard Time that would have turned into 7:30 which would be a disaster

I find it funny how much people complain about this. If the biggest thing i had to be worry about was change a few clocks(many of which are automagically changed these days) every 6 months Id have a simple life. So many snowflakes. I do not see how something like this is really that big a deal either way.
