So some guy wrote an opinion piece and now talks for all liberals? SMH Will smith slapped Chris Rock because he is a hot head with anger management issues.

No, in general, "liberalism" as we have it now IS a certifiable mental illness.
It's also not liberalism in the classic, meaningful sense of the word. What we have now from the Left is illiberal in ever-growing extremes: It's opposed to neutral principles, it's anti-Enlightenment, it's often anti-science, it's neo-racist, it's gaslighting, it's authoritarian/totalitarian, etc. It really has to stop. This worldview they've adopted is an existential threat to not only the so-called Western world, but to global civilization and the long-term continuity of our species. Good, legitimate liberals need to stand up to this before it's too late.
I interpreted it as a cultural behavior. Cultures are shaped by the past.

If your culture is encouraging you to resort to violence as a matter of course, perhaps your culture needs to be changed.
Democrats have convinced blacks that there is nothing wrong with their culture, which emphasizes violence, single parent families, contempt for education, crime, and drugs. It is "white supremacy", not their terrible culture, which has resulted in their lot in life.
As long as we have different expectations and rules for blacks, they will never amount to anything in society collectively.
"The slap heard round the world" has given every jerk in the audience the Ok to get up on stage and assault the performer if they say or do something they do not like.

I used to think like this. I've got a couple of friends that are "liberal". One is 65 , the other whom is also a lesbian is 58. When we have discussions we really aren't that far apart, I lean right although am not conservative, in the religious sense. I think the old school Liberals are much more centered than today's. It does seem like they are being displaced though, by the far left extremists.

No argument there. But one way to do that is to remove an external factor that caused the cultural behavior in the first place.
