Only a conservative would not be unable to understand this.
Somewhere along the line somebody decided that "sh*t" was a bad word for feces and "poop" was ok.
Believe it or not they are both harmless.
What does being a conservative have to do with not knowing what this topic has to do with religion or knowing what common decency is? Are you stating that liberal dont know what common decency is?

Well I see we have another conservative that doesn't "get it". (However mostly I was just dogging Venice to stir him up!! So your point is well taken).
However, there is nothing "common" or "decent" about stigmatizing sounds and spellings that do no harm to people.
"sh*t" is a word for feces. That's all it is.
Certainly there are other words that have implied threats and the like. Sh*t is not one of them.
There's a song "what it's like" by everlast where they'd always censor some of the following words:
"colt 45" "drugs" "green" (marijuana reference)
They've censored the F and S words in songs forever. Make them work friendly.
For the longest time they didn't censor the word "motherbleeper" in the Guns N Roses song "Mr Brownstone" and I thought that was amazing... then one day like flipping a light switch that one was gone.
Yeah I used to pay attention to that stuff. Censorship is for weak people who can't handle the raw truth of human nature.

Since you brought up the part I bolded, if someone came into your house and started swearing for no reason non stop, would you just let them go on or would you just non censor them?

And here we have another liberal who doesn't "get it". Certain words are meant to shock by adding extreme emphasis. They only maintain that by not being used very much and not at all in polite company. Start using them in everyday conversation and they lose that purpose and a new word will replace them.

I'd pull out my gun and shoot them, if after asking them to politely leave, they did not comply. Actually I'd start with the Fox Labs pepper spray or the Jogger Fogger. No need to escalate unnecessarily.

The FCC "gets it".
Are you surprised?
