Wasn't the former Secretary of Education all about Charter schools ? Here in Michigan, the charter schools in Detroit out perform the Detroit public schools.
Nationwide charter schools outperform public schools in the same areas. Joe is all about the cash....totally greedy swamp scum who only cares about himself, and wont follow the science of educational performance.
The reason why Democrats will not let school vouchers problems, isn't about race, it's about maintaining teacher union votes. They would rather let black kids suffer, to receive votes. The inner cities aren't really the brightest either, and take the bait over and over again.
African-Americans are finally waking up to who the real racists are.
If you look at the trends since 2016's national election, they are voting increasingly for Republicans.
I tend to discount polls, but if you believe any of them, they'll tell you Blacks are breaking away from the Dems in increasingly large numbers...Latino's too, so the open borders will likely backfire on the uber-left Libs.
African American men particularly are shifting from left to right....women not much at all, but maybe that will change by 2024.
Cant expand it if all you do is leave kids behind. That makes it worse not better. We have talked about this a million times.
IM not against school choice, im a realist and I know what you support would hurt more than it helps, the real question is, do you care ?
You can't say what you said then.
Republicans want school choice.
It is your opinion that kids will be left behind at the already failing schools if their parents keep them there. You then take the illogical step of saying giving choice is not choice and therefore the other poster was could be talking about Republicans when saying the party blocks choice.
Moving the kids is going to do nothing to address the lack of parental involvement or provide the drive to learn. We keep ignoring systemic cultural issues in the inner cities and try to put bandages on everything that stems from those issues.

Although, I live in a semi rural area, it sounds like you live in the city. That is probably why. I moved away from the city to get away from all the people, the rising crime, etc.
Wrong. I live in a rural area.
Single family land use zoning drives up home prices , while eliminating possible alternatives which creates housing crises'
On top of that, single family home zoning just isnt a good use of land, and it isnt just super rural that have that problem. Cities do as well.

Its not a choice to keep them there if the parents dont have the money to send them across town to the new school

probably should stop throwing black men in jail on trumped up charges.
Republicans support school choice and seek to expand it. What propaganda media told you the lie?
The problem is...parents don't really get to choose. It's the school that chooses, normally by lottery
