So you are saying that a state cannot totally ban abortions? Seems like they could. Unlike 2A there is nothing in the constitution protecting abortion.
States ban certain types of firearms. They can likewise ban certain types of abortions, like the 98.3% that are performed solely for the sake of convenience.
This issue will have surprisingly little impact on mid-terms. GOP already has 100% of the evangelical (pro-life) vote and radical left already has the liberal, pro-choice vote.
The moderates will vote with their wallets, including pro-choice fiscal conservatives and moderate dems and independents.
If they want to overturn the precedent of Roe v Wade it’s not my biggest worry right now. My biggest worry is after inflation and economic turmoil combine. Will I be able to earn enough money to put food on the table and pay for the roof over my head? This is the worry that’s aching me around the clock. I have a very unsettling financial situation and with 2 very highly active kids and I can’t afford childcare. We need 2 incomes to pay the bills and we have run exhausted and can’t get out of debt.
These problems are debilitating
Where as Roe v Wade overturned means simply “IF you know someone whose special situation justifies needing an abortion, they might have to go to a state that allows the procedure or travel to Canada , and then come back. Seriously the economic situation dwarfs this
suspended disbelief has nothing to do with your ludicrous analogy falling flat on its face due to lack of logic or scientific merit.
the law already tells us we can't legally commit suicide, so there's that.
it's even more interesting how you've managed to convince yourself that such drugs are on a fast-track to being illegal, despite nary a shred of evidence.
If a state decides to outlaw abortion, or severely restrict it time wise, why would they allow an abortion pill to be sold in their state? Logically speaking, if abortion is banned, wouldn't an abortion pill be banned as well?

I am pro-choice, but I agree with everything you are saying. It is money and rising rent that keeps me up at night. God forbid politicians on either side should discuss that.
But drugs, like RU-486 have replaced the need for back alley abortions from long ago. Back alley abortions won't return as long as such drugs are not banned. It will be interesting how hard women are willing to fight to stop bans on those drugs.
The CDC tracked abortion deaths and back in the 1970s there were only a few dozen deaths from back alley abortions.
Today we have all manner of abortion pills and contraceptives.

agree that seems the most likely scenario. meanwhile, the far left may well pitch such a hissyfit over this that it serves to drive even more normals into the R camp.
Well, if anyone saw what a 12 week old fetus looks like, they would not refer to it as a 'parasite.'
Click the below link if you are not afraid to see what a 12 week old miscarriage baby looks like. Either copy and paste it into a browser, or highlight it to open in a new window or tab
I saw it. That's why I wouldn't be opposed to laws limiting abortion to as little as the 12th week.
