What president was responsible for the Great Recession?

President George W. Bush, a Republican.

Still angry at Biden?

Leader of the free world is responsible when he's presiding over global instability due to his energy/economic/foreign policies.

It was leftist ideology (Barney Frank, remember him?) that told us everybody deserved a home and forced lenders to give out loans to people that couldn't pay it back, which collapsed the RE market when ARMs reset.

Bush 1 and 2 with their failed wars and record oil prices did us in. Worst ever other than Obama.

How does a president change oil prices that are set in the world market.

I would expect at almost $5 a gallon behavior would be changing and demand reduced, haven't seen that happen yet.

So with Obama in charge of his third term, is anyone surprised that there has been a renewed assault on the energy sector?

These idiots do not THINK ANYTHING THROUGH. They don't realize that even their starbucks, medical pot, Birkenstocks, and "A Handmaiden's Tale" robes have to be delivered by truck, which requires fuel to run.

THE PRICE OF EVERYTHING GOES UP WHEN GASOLINE GOES UP. Not only that, such price increases result in continued fuel to fan the flames in inflation. These democrats are monumental idiots who cannot handle their own lives and affairs, let alone the country. It is like having an impulsive, reckless child at the helm who never learns from mistakes.
LOL.

He could do what Trump did in 2018 when oil was rising.

There are a number of things Biden could do to, like reverse all of his anti-domestic oil policies, reverse all of his executive orders that he issued after assuming office. Things like this will send a signal to oil producers that the the Biden Admin. is not some anti-oil, green energy radical enviro group.

He had months to de-escalate the Ukraine/Russia thing...it was a multi month build up of forces along the border. Months. Yet, he chose the route of escalation and rhetoric. US/Euro sanctions on Russia are definitely resulting in higher energy prices, all of this could have been averted back in December 2021.
