Anyway. This is mostly for Biden voters.

1. Knowing their would be record inflation.

2. Knowing their would be record Gas prices.

3. The bungled pullout of Afganistan.

4. Covid still rampant

5. Housing crises

And so on would you of still voted for him over the other guy? granted not all the above is Biden's fault or within his control.

I would of still stayed out the election both undesirable choices.
1) And when has inflation not been a thing?
2) Well I think you know the president has nothing to do with this. It is always going up too.
3) not my business, war has always been a thing
5) Been living with a housing crisis since I was 12 years old. If I vote for Trump do I magically get a house?

What am I getting that I didn't already have?

Why should we care about that stuff when it has been the reality for so long?

However, I don't see many benefits I had with Trump in office. I'm not blaming Trump for the job woes I had. I am saying that whatever benefits anyone else had, I shared in very little of it for much of that time. I asked myself this question: What did I, not anyone else, but what benefits did I get? Did my life get better? If my life didn't get better, then I have to live with that. Not the rest of America.
Not only was there no benefits but my rent went up so it could have been so much worse for me had he stayed in office.

Me too. I actually voted for him when he was on the ballot but then he pulled out so we had to settle for my least favorite Democrat.

While I can agree that issues and policy are important, what has turned me away the most, from the Republicans, is Trumpism, and it's not even about Trump specifically, what I think of him as a person or president. The basic thing that a whole party essentially abandoned having any kind of a stated platform at all in favor of "Loyalty to this one guy"...the obsession and fandom around him, no matter who the guy is or what side or what he is about or stands for... That was really alarming and fundamentally un-American to me. Where loyalty to a leader becomes make-or-break for the careers of all sorts of people in the government, and he and his supporters are fast to suggest violence or imprisonment for anyone who speaks against him, the golden statue at the convention, the utter denial of any news or information that does not support the official position or narrative as "fake"... Like all of this stuff, this is Dictator stuff.

Personally man, if they got a case together and prove that Hillary or Bill or any of the Bidens or anybody -ANYBODY- is doing crime, I want to see them sentenced and held equally accountable before the law, and I worry a lot that either a ton of false accusations and investigations are being thrown around for political optics, and/or we just do not put rich or powerful people in jail in this country... I am not OK with any of that. If the guy I voted for did crimes, I say there should be investigation, trial, and consequences.

But I am not cultishly loyal to him. I've never been cultishly loyal to any elected leader, and I don't think that I should have been. I don't think that America should EVER have an uncritical relationship with our leaders. They are public servants, not monarchs, that was the whole damn point!

So yeah, if they find a way to step back from this, from the Trump phenomenon, then I'll take another look at the Republican party maybe, some day. Not until then.
Very well said. I especially agree with the bolded. I am a loyal person but cultishly? I don't even worship my favorite musicians (hell I don't even worship god as I'm an agnostic theist) and I love music a lot so I definitely don't understand concepts like Trumpism. Even if you put his awful nature aside (that's a whole other topic), he's just the guy in the white office whose only purpose in the job is to serve you.

You have to seriously question the judgment and sanity of anyone who voted for him in the first place. Most of those who did wouldn’t be willing or capable of admitting they were wrong. Most of them are gaslighting, easily manipulated, emotional voters.

He wasn't my first choice. I wanted Bernie. However, I certainly didn't want Trump, so in that respect, I don't regret my vote whatsoever.

I don't think Trump could have done any better. Both have shown they are slow to react to crisis.

In 2024, I am certain I'll be either abstaining for voting on the next president (but still voting on everything else on the ballot) or doing a write in vote.
