I haven’t seen anything yet that shows Russia is winning this current conflict. It’s so laughable! A major world military can’t even take over their nextdoor neighbor! Russia is lame - we’ve seen it’s possible to be extremely strong on paper but extremely weak On paper.

Actually, Russia never recovered from the hit they took in 2014 when they invaded Crimea.
In 2013 Russia GDP was 2.288T dollars.
In 2022 it is thought to be 1.829T dollars and in 2023 will fall to 1.713T dollars.

One thing about measuring GDP per capita is, if enough people leave the country or die in the war the per capita figure will rise. At least for a while.

It's a good victory for Ukraine, just as the offensive in the north was. But unfortunately Kherson is about as far as the Ukrainians are going to get. The same river that was preventing the Russians from getting supplies is going to prevent the Ukrainians from advancing farther.

Meanwhile the Russians have their own offensive going on in Donetsk, and are making slow steady progress everyday to capture more land there.
Russians move by meters....Ukrainians move by villages. The Donetsk is only wasting Russian mercenaries in the Wagner group...they have been trying to take Bakhmut for well over a month...and nobody can figure out why...there is no real military significance to this area.

There appears to be a major Ukrainian Offensive in Kherson right now

The longer this conflict continues, the more damage Russia does to itself. Not only is the conflict itself a massive cost on Russian resources, finances, and military hardware, but the resulting economic sanctions from several nations are going to cripple Russias economy come 2–3 years. More countries isolate themselves from Russia as time drags on. Before long, China will be their only ally, and it will be a “vulture waiting for weak animal to die” kind of relationship.

Let’s say Russia accomplishes all it’s goals and conquers Ukraine. What then? They’ll have to keep a considerable military presence in the country to maintain order and protect the puppet government. The cost of this occupation would be severe, all while the common Russian citizen suffers in poverty-like conditions.

It’s only a matter of time before the people of Russia themselves turn on Putin. How much time, is anyone's guess.

I love Russia, I've been to Russia twice. I would even say that, Compared to many American and European cities, Moscow has become very clean and orderly. The downtown is almost immaculate. and it saddens me that Putin decided to do this to Russian people.

Putin needs to end this war.

Russians shot missiles, then shot them down with their own SAMs and those landed on their railway tracks knocking those out! Talk about three birds in one stone

The movement of trains in the #Belgorod region has been suspended

Governor Gladkov said that this was due to the fall of several missiles, that were shot down by air defense, on the railway and damaged power lines.

The #Ukrainian side did not report shelling of Belgorod.
The Russians took out their own Railroad tracks in Belgorod....LOL

Your link is seriously messed up. Unless you want us to believe that the GDP dropped by more than a factor of 10 in a year. Next.

Incorrect, The Russian advances are much more than just meters. The pro-Russian forces are also capturing entire villages. They just captured Opytine and Ivangrad in the last couple of days and are ontrack to capture the city of Bakhmut which has a population of 70,000, and the Ukrainians seem helpless to stop those advances.

I love how everybody celebrates the Ukrainian advances, while totally ignoring or blowing off the Russian advances. Which is unfortunate, because it gives you a very warped perspective of the war.
