Hmmm, well no it’s not really my feelings that, in the weeks leading up to the certification, he pushed a lie that the election was fraudulent, that he and his cronies pushed the false narrative that he won, inciting anger and building up masses of resentment amongst his most ardent.
It is not my feeling that he held a “rally” on that day at that time in that location where he threw HIS OWN VICE PRESIDENT under the proverbial and set the mob off to stop Pence from certifying the election as is HIS FREAKIN JUTY.
He asked them to go there, they did, and that’s that. Any normal responsible POTUS would have not held that event in the first place. He wanted to go join them FFS. I’ll give him this, he has cojones the size of watermelons, the balls on the guy to actually try and pull that off. The urge to hold onto power at all costs is strong.

Sure, many actions by politicians might be shameful but it's not a crime. Biden ignoring the chaos in the border is shameful. W Bush 9/11 response was shameful. FDR's poor planning and response in Pearl Harbor attack was shameful. Obama droning was shameful. The illegals wars are shameful and the list is long but is not a crime. Obama and Holder actions during the Fast and the Furious gun scandal was shameful. Not a crime.

Nobody believes Trump is going to run besides his delusional base. You can take that out of your calculations and explanations.
Except he didn’t tell them to physically fight. He told them to protest peacefully. Whatever happened after that is on them. No matter how many times you want to fit the narrative, you have no proof that he incited the riot.
The proof is that they rioted after hearing Trump's speech. The crowd understood what Trump wanted, and they did it.
You are the only one who can't seem to understand what Trump told the crowd to do.
Though "fight like hell" could be taken rhetorically, the alternative sort of fight was actually over long before that rally. There was nothing left to fight for legally. The campaigning was complete: the people went to the rallies, they flew their flags on their pickup trucks and blew their horns and floated their flotillas of big boats with flags and blew their horns to show support for their guy, then they went to the polls and they lost, then they went to the courts and they lost, they also lost the recounts.
They weren't being told to go fly their flags some more. They weren't being told to campaign.

Those speeches were designed to incite an angry mislead crowd into a physical fight and they were ready for violence. The armed groups, which planned and coordinated with Trump, Giuliani and Roger Stone were already on their way to the Capitol Building, having been unable to pass through the metal detectors.
Someone had planted bombs the night before.
One might charitably say that the rally crowd got out of hand, except in Trump's opinion (the only one that counts) they were not out of hand, they were doing what he expected them to do and he was pleased with it.
There is no 'narrative'. There are only the facts and they are damning.
Yes. The crowd at the ellipse understood full well what Trump wanted them to do. And they marched down to the Capitol and rioted. Trump watched it on TV and loved every minute of it. Such a sad little man.
