Bingo…so many folks crave for everyone to think and do as they do…much like the folks that say they just want to be treated normal as they dress up in clown suits for attention.

Story hours here at the local libraries are always looking for volunteers to read. They don't discriminate, and they don't care if you look like Jason Momoa or Boy George. All volunteers are appreciated.

I think they’re hilarious, especially their hypocrisy. Just want to be treated normal and then do everything they can to draw attention, and cry when folks aren’t interested in having it shoved down their throats.
As you yourself imply in your post, these acts "reflected the attitudes of the Vaudeville era," just as broad face at this point in history "reflects the attitudes for SOME in the era in which we exist." Hopefully, just as with black face, broad face will be seen for exactly the offensive clown-show it is at some point in the future. At this point, some just don't see it.
As for me, yes, I have suffered through my share of drag queen shows. I was a professional musician for quite a number of years and played in everything from strip clubs to big arenas at one time or another. Didn't think much of strippers either, but at least they were not making fun of anyone.
Ultimately, we'll simply have to agree to disagree yet again. Surprising, huh? You know, beings I don't think we've ever agreed on much of anything here. For instance, I'll go ahead and say the sky is blue, and you will counter that the sky is .........................
I worked as a stagehand for an alternative circus group that booked strippers, burlesque, Boylesque, and drag shows in addition to jugglers, stilt walkers, fire eaters, belly dancers, aerial performers, knife throwers, magicians, and assorted musical acts. I was active until 2015. We could have crossed paths at one time or another.

The show was a recreation of Anderson's in Storyville, where the performers interacted with the audience in character as assorted employees of a bawdy house. Directly behind me in black is Armitage Shanks, who is one of the premiere Burlesque show MCs in the world.
Who could have seen this coming? I mean, who would have ever thought that people who prioritize gender confusion and the sexualization of children (to the point where it simply must be a part of the school curriculum!) would be into such activities?
Ah well, I'm sure this is just a complete coincidence, and nothing like this ever happens again.

yes, it is a choice. At least in some cases. i.e. many of the people who have same sex attraction have been sexually victimized/traumatized, and they grow up with their sex life, as well as their adult life, skewed and screwed up. Children who are sexualized too early are traumatized for life and changed for life.

Some women have horrid boyfriends, horrid husbands, been raped, etc, and they are hurt so much by the man, that they cannot abide a normal heterosexual relationship, they flip out against men, and they turn to women where they find comfort.
To those who say they were born that way, that is a lie. People are socialized to become homosexual and other factors. Transgenders are a lie. A person is born a man or a woman (unless in rare cases they have genitals of both sexes).
There are people who experiment to see what the other side is all about. Some people try things with same sex and decide it is for them, and some do not like it.
Bisexuals actually do choose ,, there are various levels of bisexuality, a person can choose to have relationships with men or women and enjoy it as the same. (versus straight men who get sick thinking about sex with a man). women seem to be more accepted to be bisexual (as if this is more normal for women/women relationship.)
The Bible has a lot to say about the subject and even though there are liberal churches, the Bible tells you all these things. God created man and woman. no transgenders. Sodom and Gomorrah had a lot of perversion of all sorts.

Also, you really need to ask a few of your homosexual friends about how they "chose" to become gay. Yes, you do have homosexual friends. Somewhere around 5% of all humans are not heterosexual. They will tell you the truth.
