Well good news for this wannabe lawyer while the dems secure votes with taxpayer money:

Quote:
The president is considering forgiving up to $10,000 in student loan debt per borrower and extending the loan moratorium in place since March 2020. Biden is looking to appeal to young voters ahead of midterms that could spell trouble for Democrats.

'Today is good day to cancel student debt,' Rep. Ilhan Omar wrote on Twitter Tuesday
(I'm being sarcastic about the $10k being good news since it won't put a dent into what this idiot owes.)

Not everyone belongs in college. Or law school either apparently.

When I was in college, the government was pushing single mothers into going to college. It put them in massive debt and they were still in poverty after college. The only woman who escaped married out of poverty. She became pregnant and he married her. The references needed to get a decent job tend to be middle class and they are not mingling with impoverished single mothers. Almost every one of them were worse off after college.

Many of them could not handle the college work. They struggled with remedial classes. Many left without being able to graduate. They were not college material.

Except he's a lawyer in New Mexico. So unless he's the next Johnny Cochran, it's going to take a while.

And seeing how he's getting such negative press, I doubt many firms or clients will be eager for his services at top dollar.

That's debatable, I've seen a lot of crazy teachers recently on social media that have been fully indoctrinated to the left ideology that is crushing this nation.

There are good reasons for young people to go to university. But as a whole, many should not. Trade schools would be a much better choice and also get them to financial stability much quicker than one who barely finishes with a worthless four year degree and tons of debt.

This person has not showed much maturity or critical thinking thus far. He's older than most as well graduates as well.

Do you think paying off over 1/3 of a million dollars in a few years is actually a reachable goal for this person? In order for that to happen, a new lawyer who would be lucky to make $100k/yr in his first few years (before taxes), he would have to live like a hermit and give 80-90% of his income to his debt for nearly 5 years!

He is 32 years old and graduated from Law School in 2017.
He gets rent assistance, SNAP and says he can’t pay next months rent.

He certainly is a champion whiner -

Pederzani said he had no problem paying back the amount he borrowed. In fact, he wants to. But he said he wished more people — and the president — would recognize that high-paying jobs don't benefit everyone who pursues them.

"There are people who would find $10,000 in relief from Joe Biden as miraculous," Pederzani said. "But there are a substantial number of people like me that are being forgotten. We're being left behind."

He has no problem paying his loan??? He is on rent assistance and food assistance. He whines that giving him $10,000 just isn’t fair and he is being forgotten.

Nobody can “fix” such an entitlement attitude. These are the people that expect the US Taxpayer to support them and bail them out of their poor decisions.

He is a Poster Child for why we must not do this.

What Can Grad PLUS Loans Be Used for?
Grad PLUS loans can be used for tuition, fees and other education-related expenses. These expenses include,

• Housing

• Food

• Textbooks

• Computers and other supplies

• Study abroad expenses

• Transportation

• Childcare costs

A Grad PLUS loan will first be disbursed to your financial aid office, which will apply the funds toward tuition, fees, room and board, and any other school charges. The financial aid office will then send any remaining funds to you.
