I'm sure you'll be busy smearing DeSantis if he runs, just like you've been busy trashing Trump for the last 6 years. You guys are predictable, if nothing else.

OMG some of the comments from the anti law and order peanut gallery is disturbing. Look, we have laws in this country. Attacking law enforcement, seditious conspiracy, and whatever else they have been charged with are all in line with our rule of law. Those cry babies that think their feelings are more important than truth and the rule of law deserve what they get. The woman that turned in her ex? She's doing her patriotic duty. How dare anyone try to disenfranchise 80 million votes. It's unbelievable how many people ruined their lives over a lie, but no one is above the law. Stupid is as stupid does.

The Jan 6 rowdies are getting the book thrown at them for wearing buffalo horns and acting like drunk college kids.
Cry me a river.

These were not drunken soccer fan rowdies. They attacked and breeched police lines, inflicting serious injuries, and destructively invaded the Capitol with full intention of overturning a constitutional process and harming VP Pence and any others that got in their way. They intended to stage a coup by overturning the election.

The BLM/George Floyd demonstrations were essentially state and local events with rioting in twenty-some locations over the period of several weeks. If you want to know what that outcome was, check with local and state authorities.

Of the thousands of insurrectionists that attacked the capitol only a small minority are facing criminal charges. Most are not even getting a "slap on the wrist" for their traitorous actions. Many were identified by their own stupidity and bragging about their actions. They deserve what they get. Some deserve worse.

So, the guy gets 9 months for protesting on federal grounds and yelling mean things. Sounds just like what blm antifa had done across the country, on federal, state, local grounds and private property. Well maybe not just like, since he didn't burn or bomb or destroy anything or murder anyone.

He took a plea deal if he was found guilty by a jury probably get 5 years. Obstruction of an Official Proceeding is a felony carry’s a max 20 years in prison. He got off light with 9 months.

Something tells me that the Venn diagram of "The sort of people who may be turned in to the police by neighbors and relatives" and "The sort of people who think it's a great idea to storm the US Capitol because they lost" shows considerable overlap.
