If you imagine a continuum for how to deal with a convicted criminal, with "let him go" on one end and "fry him" on the other, which political party is more likely to fall closer to the first one, and which political party is more likely to fall closer to the second one? And toward which direction of this continuum is the convicted criminal more likely to reoffend, versus not reoffend? That's why the Democrats need to be held to account for their role in situations such as this one.

Is it really true that he was already facing murder charges before this act of domestic terrorism? If so, the people that made it possible for him to be roaming the streets free need to be brought to justice.
Early reports have him arrested for attempted murder but wound up being charged and sentenced for aggravated assault.
He wasn't targeting a specific race from what I saw of the brief footage I could find (saw a few black people on the ground after being shot).
Of course this will be viewed from a racial angle, but to me, this shooter is like any other mass shooter white, black, or any other race.
Just another twisted narcissist who seeks infamy and attention on social media by committing horrible acts that terrify people and get the country talking about him. Just like the mass shooter in Buffalo, who did just about the same thing. And every other mass shooter with a chip on his shoulder and a desire for infamy.
No one wants to admit that nothing is out of bounds these days for narcissists to stroke their egos and get fame. It ain't about gun control or any other such issue. If it means filming yourself going into random public places and killing people, so be it. It's a cut throat world these days for people to build a social media presence, with many more failing than succeeding. Whatever it takes to them, the bar continues to be set higher to get people's attention.
