Why does the GOP keep nominating candidates with little if any experience or capabilities, and with screwy ideas or sayings, who lose elections that should be winnable?

GOP, a football player who paid women to have abortions is really the most qualified candidate?
Yea those Republicans can sure pick some bad ones. The Democrats would never pick poor candidates. After all, just take a look at candidates like Fetterman, he's a real winner.

Fetterman ought to drop out of the race, or promise to resign immediately and let his seat be filled by someone else (he could specify who it is). He’s certainly not able to hold the office.

Same reason Democrats can't get good candidates. The moderate and independent types are shooed away in favor of the extreme ones.

Why not? He's certainly no less cognitively competent than our current POTUS.

It's not great but the Dems continue to pick far worse.

I beg to differ. I say at this point, both parties are bad at picking candidates.

Why are you ignoring this:

"As the November midterms approach, Senator Raphael Warnock's personal life has come under scrutiny as the Georgia Democrat looks to fend off a challenge from Republican challenger Herschel Walker.Allegations that Warnock ran over his wife's foot with a car in 2020 have resurfaced recently, with Walker's campaign featuring the allegations in a recent ad featuring the Senator's ex-wife.
In September, Walker, who also faces accusations of domestic violence, released an ad entitled What Else Is Warnock Hiding?"

While we get 'basement' candidates with dementia and inabilities to speak or think and all they care to do is destroy the country we are hiring them to protect?
