That's the best anybody can do. I hire politicians based on their policies, not an emotional side issue about their personal life that I don't care about.

Most all high level Political Officials are hypocrites...but Biden and Pelosi are (claimed) devout Catholic Christians...and they both endorse wantonly executing babies while they gestate.
You can't be more hypocritical than that...or more evil & depraved.
It's so bad...the long-time Dem Party Leader Pelosi has been denied Communion.

The Democrats...especially the very top echelon...are the Poster Children for hypocrisy.

He would have lost as well. The GOP chose the guy they thought could beat Clinton, and they chose correctly.

A reasonable argument takes time to articulate properly. A howling shriek takes seconds. The American attention span is 3-5 seconds. Put those together and then reevaluate the whole concept of how people get elected.

If you can't convince someone in America of something in under 5 seconds, you will never get a plurality. Sooo...what can you most readily do in 5 seconds or less - scare, shock, scold, blame. None of that is reason, but all of it can be done in under 5 seconds.

Americans are not reasonable people. We are a nation of ADHD toddlers with the attention span of houseflies. We get the candidates and the representatives we deserve as a result of our inherent lack of attention span.
Trump was not the better man. He only won the primary. Sometimes the person who would be the best person for the job doesn't always get the job. Winning doesn't make you the better choice. The kind of candidate you are and the ideas you have are what determine that.

I don't care how long a reasonable argument takes to properly articulate. I will turn away a howling shriek. If you can't come to me with reason, intelligence, and some consideration, I'll tell you to get out of my face. This is why I told both Clinton and Trump (not literally) to take a hike and went the 3rd party route in 2016. I wanted someone better than those two. My vote wasn't about who I thought would win. It was about who lines up with what I'm looking for.

I'm not the average American. 5 seconds isn't enough time for me. I need more time than that. I need a candidate who can do better than that. Americans not being reasonable, that's not good enough for me. That's part of the problem with America. We have too many people who don't think. We have a high percentage of individuals who will shoot first, ask questions later.

Isn't it obvious?
Since the socialist revolution of 1933, and the abolition of private property (as well as lawful money with which to alienate title to private property), Americans have lived under "emergency rules" that bypass the USCON.
Under the current Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic, it would be foolish to stand erudite candidates who were actually opposed to genocidal socialism and the current fraudulent national debt (though one cannot challenge its validity, saith clause 4, 14th amendment, USCON).
So to insure compliance with the transformation of America, the "ballot bingo" routinely cycles clowns and buffoons to persuade people that the "democratic majority" gives the mandate to the gubmint to move ever closer to that glorious collectivist paradise.
Thus the scoundrels in office can say, "YOU CONSENTED TO THIS!"

Senate Report 93-549
https://archive.org/stream/senate-re...3-549_djvu.txt
War and Emergency Powers Acts
United States, Senate Report 93-549 states: "That since March 09, 1933 the United States has been in a state of declared national emergency." Proclamation No. 2039 declared by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on March 9, 1933. This declared national emergency has never been revoked and has been codified into the US Code (12 U.S.C. sec. 95a and b).

"A majority of the people of the United States have lived all of their lives under emergency rule. For 40 years (as of the report 1933-1973), freedoms and governmental procedures guaranteed by the Constitution have, in varying degrees, been abridged by laws brought into force by states of national emergency."
FREEDOMS ... GUARANTEED BY THE CONSTITUTION ... HAVE BEEN ABRIDGED BY LAWS ... UNDER EMERGENCY RULE ...

Constitutional U.S.A. (1789 - 1933) R.I.P.
Welcome to the Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic of America.

On the contrary, I'd argue the current crop of GOP candidates are overall high quality. Gone are the days of RINO candidates who cave and appease the dims at every move.

Kari Lake is one of the most articulate, tough and committed candidates out there. The way she spins the media's propaganda tactics right back at them, no wonder they're running scared and running every smear they can. I have no doubt if she wins Arizona, she will be a formidable force in American politics and perhaps even our first female President some day.

You dims like to make fun of Herschel Walker in particular, but how come I never hear you talk about his opponent, the Warlock. The same Warlock who claims to be a "preacher" or something yet is accused of domestic violence and for evicting tenants from a Church-run property. The debate showed everyone plain and clear Walker is the one with a heart and passion, the Warlock came across as forced and robotic.

Then look at the dim side. They have a brain damaged stroke victim who wants to create a criminal paradise and legalize all hard drugs, a Lieutenant Governor who could easily be a BLM activist who thinks it's "sexy" to release prisoners, a fraud who acts like he's a harmless, moderate, China-fighting blue collar Ohio dad yet voted with Biden 100% of the time.
And perhaps my all time favorite... a coward so afraid of her opponent she refuses to debate her, whose voice sounds like a low IQ Karen trying to get a refund at petco.
