These GOP candidates you speak of have more in common with you and me than the professional politicians we keep voting into office.

Weird or not, we ought to let the democratic process decide if they will serve or not.
Joe the Farmer was also not meant to spend two whole years hanging around the Congress during his term. The Constitution set a bare minimum session for the Congress to meet. Concern then was that the federal government wasn't going to meet at all, not that it would become a career.

Why does the GOP keep nominating candidates with little if any experience or capabilities, and with screwy ideas or sayings, who lose elections that should be winnable?

GOP, a football player who paid women to have abortions is really the most qualified candidate?
I'm sure the left thinks he is great...a famous minority that paid for women to have abortions.
They should turn out in droves to vote for him. No?

In 2022, it’s John Fetterman, the candidate who doesn’t show up for his current job, can’t speak coherently, is anti-police and pro-criminal, and should be focusing on recovery from his stroke instead of running for office to push leftist policy on all of us.

In 2022, it’s Katie Hobbs, the incompetent candidate who is afraid to debate, thinks our border is already secure (lol), and has screwy ideas about teaching kindergartners about sex.

In 2022, it’s Mandela Barnes, the candidate who is anti-police and wants to continue to defund police departments across Wisconsin as crime surges, and doesn’t care about the concerns of citizens who live in Wisconsin.

In 2022, it’s Mark Kelly, the candidate (and unfortunately the incumbent) who lives in a border state, yet very much supports illegal immigration and votes against border security measures at every opportunity, even as drugs pour across the border.

Why does the Democrat Party keep nominating candidates with little if any experience or capabilities, and with screwy ideas or sayings, who lose (or will lose) elections that should be winnable?
You forgot Andrew Gillum, the Dem that opposed Florida Gov DeSantis, & was caught in a hotel room with a overdosed male hooker.

You also forgot DeSantis's latest chalenger flip flopper ex Republican now Dem Charlie Crist whose campaign manager just got arrested for 2nd degree spousal abuse.

FKD, I beg to differ! And what good does the "mean tweets" do? Tell me, what does acting like a 12 y.o. do to solve the issues? You cannot solve problems while acting like this.

And the other alternative was a sociopath. Looks like it was a no-win type of situation right?!

Acting like a 12 yo? Really? The left started acting like spoiled 12 year olds the night he was elected.
The couldn't handle that an outsider beat the anointed queen hillary to the throne. Twice he was impeached on BS charges. And to this day the left still believe the Russian Hoax. Tell me about acting like a 12 year old?

First, this is not just a Republican thing. Biden, K Harris, The Squadsters and now Fetterman are calling you. Biden should be retired, Harris should start actually working, some of the Squadsters are just crazy and hurting their own party. Finally, Fetterman never should have made it this far. So, this is not just one party.

Second, this is a mighty big country and you are actually going back a dozen years to find examples. Of course you are going to find some examples of poor quality candidates. But while you may not agree with all of them, I think most candidates are fine. Think of how many Senators, Congressmen and Governors you are not mentioning.

John Kasich would have made a good choice to run against Clinton in 2016. Sadly, Trump won the primary. Gary Johnson, I understand why he ran as a Libertarian. However, he should have ran as a Republican. He might have done well among independent voters. He would have done well out West. He was Governor of New Mexico at one point.

I think one of the reasons we don't get better candidates for either party is because of us. We have to look in the mirror. We have to start demanding better candidates. We have to start going with reason rather than extremism.

Nobody (well, almost nobody) cares that he paid for his woman's abortion. The problem is, he has been going around saying he is prolife and does not believe abortions should ever be done. Hypocracy at its finest.
