Sounds like it was one true friend. I know plenty of dysfunctional families. Even my wife's. Half can't stand each other.

Who's to blame? I'm sure I don't know!
She was unwell with a type of mental psychosis, and she slowly went insane because of it. Who's to blame? She is. There are other people with gender dysphoria or other forms of mental psychosis and they are not murdering innocent children.

Unless we should decide that in the interest of public safety, we need to lock up everyone with a mental psychosis and gender dysphoria.

She even texted a close friend and told her what she was about to do.

What we need is a gun purchasing link system. Those gun stores in Nashville should have been able to see that she purchased numerous other guns from other stores recently. That would have been a huge red flag to get authorities involved and to stop the sales of the guns to this person.

Why can't something like this be implemented across the nation?

She bought them in recent years.

The shooter who killed three students and three staff members at a Christian school in Nashville legally bought seven weapons in recent years and hid the guns from their parents before carrying out the attack by firing indiscriminately at victims and spraying gunfire through doors and windows, police said Tuesday

But let's say you break up with your long time lover, and they call the police to report that you are capable of mass shooting at the local mall? Are they police supposed to grab your guns? If so, the first thing former girlfriends will do is call the police and claim you said you wanted to commit murder.

Open your eyes and start reading what these left-leaning publications and news sites are writing. There is story after story from the left, where one of the first things they write, is to bemoan the possibility that the murderer might have been misgendered. People are dead, but first we must make sure to stress the gender expressed by the murderer with mental psychosis.

In the second paragraph:

Nashville school shooter’s identity may make them an exceptionally rare perpetrator

Within hours that description had changed to that of a 28-year-old woman. And shortly after that, the authorities pivoted again, revealing that the shooter, Audrey Hale, had in recent times identified on social media, including a LinkedIn account, as a transgender male.

In the first paragraph:

Who is the Nashville school shooter who killed six at private Christian school?

This article was updated. Police initially misgendered the shooter, who they later said identified as a transgender man.

There was confusion later on Monday about the gender identity of the assailant in the Nashville shooting. Officials had used “she” and “her” to refer to the suspect, who, according to a social media post and a LinkedIn profile, appeared to identify as a man in recent months.

In the second paragraph:

Police Identify Shooter Who Killed Six at Nashville Grade School

Audrey Hale, who was killed by police, was a 28-year-old White Nashville resident who identified as transgender, authorities said. Hale is believed to be a former student at the Covenant School, Metro Nashville Police said.
Out of all the headlines, Reuters had to be my favorite:

Apparently the "manifesto" didn't contain a motive for the shootings. It just contained plans and drawings for the assault.

I guess we'll never really know why.

I don’t see anyone “bemoaning” that Hale was misgendered. It’s a matter of correcting the record. Hale being trans is a major part of this story.

Many people thought early on that they were a male to female trans woman.

They’re stressing the gender because whether Hale was trans or not became an almost instant motive.

It was a Christian school, no?

Hale was a former student, no?
