Of course I am trying to think of this with logic which was obviously not part of this crime.

Big jon no details about what was torture was revealed in this article, only that they were tied up. At no point was rape mentioned in the article. I mentioned it to distinguish 'regular' crime from 'hate' crime that can get confusing. You're allowing passions to fill in the blanks without facts. More facts are needed. Remember jury duty rules.
Yes, it's horrible. It's wrong, it never should occur, but there it is just the same. Some human beings divorced themselves from humanity and civilization with this act. These marines were implicated and if they're guilty it's a horrible smear of the marines failing to screen them out right along with them. If you believe for one minute something like this is acceptable to a man like Colin Powell, Cosby or Obama, you're kidding yourself. Criminals come in all races, genders, and creeds. So do honest people.
Equality means equal responsibility. This means that if women mean to have equality, they'll have to accept equal responsibility the same as men do. Same goes for every single minority in our country. Asians blend in and do better because they embrace that responsibility more completely. They succeed more reliably as a result. Minorities that fail to do that have a much worse time of things.
I promise you, I'm not blaming 'white guys' for my life or the ills of our country. WE inherited a mess, and WE are all responsible (like it or not) now. K? Justice should be blind, and we must keep that wise tradition of america.
