This link shows the front page of a number of our daily papers from Sunday. It is almost sickening unless you are a lefty or some other type of progressive. What a print media we are living with. Don't look if you are one of the people I mentioned above. You folks won't see anything wrong with these reports.
Well, I'm a lefty who looked at them anyway because I knew if I made a comment you'd accuse me of not reading the post--as you always do.
Honestly, I don't get what was so wrong with the headlines. Yeah, there was the "preaching to the faithful" headline, (which, well, he was) but aside from that, I didn't see anything blatantly offensive. Could you pinpoint which headlines bothered you so much and why?
Other than that, I was more into watching the Little League World Series watching my home state's team make it to the finals. I found that to be more exciting.
I don't see a problem either. It was just a rally, a big one, and was reported as such. What kind of headlines would you expect? As I've repeatedly stated, it didn't change anything. It was a big happy-happy joy-joy party and the people who went had fun.. but that's all.

I was slightly irked by my paper's report of the rally. They ran an AP story and it made no mention of the number of people in attendance. They could have at least done some entry level level journalism and reported it better, or sent one of their own staff to cover it and not waste time with AP. I know the big cable networks, excluding Fox of course, were reluctant to report on it.
But I'll bet they had trolls lurking around just waiting to catch any incidents and were sorely disappointed none occurred.
It is a little concerning that some of the newspapers' staff members are so bad with numbers and math. I mean some of them were off by a factor of 100 - my 4 year old can count better than that.
