Do you doubters really understand the issue here? It's very simple! When we American citizens are born in this country (legally) we are issued a birth certificate. It is that original birth certificate for President-elect Obama from August of 1961 that millions of people want to see. It's a simple request, really. You can go through the drones of complaining that the Certificate of Live Birth is good enough, it's legal in court, or his birth certificate was "witnessed", but you still refuse to answer the underlying question: WHY won't Obama release his ORIGINAL Birth Certificate? What is the big deal? Why can every other American citizen provide one, but Obama can't? Why did he go through the extra expense of getting a more recent Certificate of Live Birth, or the legal costs of fighting this in court, when it is SO DAMN SIMPLY RESOLVED? There can be ONLY one answer: HE HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE!!!
But, since many of you seem to know it all and think the ones of us that want proof he is eligible to be President of the U.S. are all ignorant, kindly TELL US...... why won't he release his ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE? What other possible reason would he have not to release it if he wasn't trying to hide something?

It's hardly a bogus claim that the state of Hawaii issues Certification of Live Births to foreigners as well as those who are born in Hawaii.. it is a FACT.
What Obama posted at Fact Check DOES NOT PROVE he was born in Hawaii.
It is also a FACT that he is refusing to release the original typewritten copy of the 1961 Certificate of Live Birth that IS ONLY ISSUED IF YOU WERE BORN IN HAWAII that lists the hospital name, doctor who performed the delivery and a witness of the birth.
Certification of Live Birth IS different from Certificate of Live Births.
If Obama was born in Hawaii.. why not show the original typewritten certificate issued in 1961??
Instead he is choosing to lawyer up and fight a mounting number of different lawsuits from half the states in the union questioning his birth status.
Honolulu is a twin city to Mombassa Kenya. Obama's grandmother claims he was born at Coastal Hospital in Mombassa Kenya. This could be why Honolulu was the chosen city in Hawaii since it's a twin city to Mombassa Kenya.
His mom is from Kansas His birth certificate is Hawaiin. Last time I checked those were U.S. States. GET OVER IT!!!!!!
There are numerous "issues" that make Obama ineligible for POTUS if he was born in Kenya as many think, and Obama's grandmother claims. Obama's mother (Ann Dunham) had to have lived in the U.S. for 5 years after the age of 14 at the time of giving birth. She was 18 when she gave birth to Obama, presumably in Kenya.
It's about eligibility based on verifying if he's a natural-born citizen or not! According to case law one must have been born of a American-citizen paternal FATHER in order to have natural-born citizen status. Obama can be a citizen, but not a natural-born citizen and that's what case law says. You MUST to be a natural-born citizen in order to be eligible for the presidency.
Legal Basis: Article II, Section I of the United States Constitution, states, in pertinent part, as follows: "No Person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President;"

"Natural born citizen" has a an established meaning under a long recognized "natural law", and that is "citizenship at birth by the most natural means possible: birth within the boundaries of the United States". Our Founders and the authors of the Constitution deliberately chose the phrase "natural born citizen" because it was a static, established and significant definition, and not one subjected to repeated re-definition via legislation.
To allow "natural born citizen" to be redefined via legislation is to allow the very qualifcations for President and the Constitution itself to be altered by an inappropriate method. The only prescribed means to amend the constitution is detailed in Article V.
There is a reason you see "natural born citizen" in only ONE PLACE; the Constitution and the requirements for President.
Obama may have been a Citizen at birth via 8 USC § 1401 but unless he was born within the boundaries of the United States, then he is a "born citizen" or "naturalized citizen", but not a "natural born citizen".

HONOLULU (AP) — State officials say there's no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.
Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said Friday she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama's original birth certificate.
Fukino says that no state official, including Republican Gov. Linda Lingle, ever instructed that Obama's certificate be handled differently.
She says state law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest.
Some Obama critics claim he was not born in the US.
Earlier Friday, a southwest Ohio magistrate rejected a challenge to Obama's citizenship. Judges in Seattle and Philadelphia recently dismissed similar suits.
Personally, I don't see the problem if a president were born outside of the U.S., as long as they've been a citizen of this country for the majority of their life. That being said, I see no evidence that Obama was not born here, nor would it have any impact on his ability to be president.
I was thinking that myself, I remember during the election this was brought up. But hmmm, that certainly wasn't made an issue then was it?
