I provided a source that says he does write his own speeches.

How about you providing a verifiable source that says the "content" is not written by him.

I don't feel one bit better having to take Time as the final authority of how Obama gets his speeches.

Did he write the one that he screwed up so bad when he had is back to his teleprompter and coudn't see it. The speech can be heard on one of the earlier posts by one of the nasty conservatives of this forum. He botched those numbers so bad that he couldn't have written all of that speech. He has to have his teleprompters to keep on target, and I think that is what I said in the first post of this thread.

I don't think you have checked into Time very thoroughly Miss Ray. It may be the final authority but not on political things, in my opinion.

Bush took his teleprompter with him even to the aircraft carrier when he made his speech there.

All Presidents have speech writers. Your linked article insinuates that Obama has plenty of input into the content of his speeches.

Roy - wrong forum for the MSM nonsensical argument. Time is a reputable source - if they lie, they can be sued, unlike the the right wing websites that you are so fond of quoting.

Obama wasn't using a teleprompter in those debates when his was kicking McCain's @ss..We all saw how Bush, McCain and OMG Palin faired without one. Complete disasters! I'll take an uh pause over complete buffonery.

Look at the source that Tank1906 used to prove some point. Why it is Time. Now I don't want to make you out to be as liberal as Tank but you do use the same source for your truths.

I just saw Obama with his speech at the announcement of his EO about stem cell research and his head just went from right, to left, to right, left but always he stopped it at the same place which, of course, was his teleprompters. Why couldn't he fake it now and then and look toward the middle? Well we all know the answer to that question.

All I can say is that when I have had to speak in front of an audience over the years, and got brain freeze, I would have loved to have a teleprompter. As a person who thinks public speaking is the next worst thing to death and lima beans, I would not deny Obama his teleprompter.
