The only people I hear of bringing up the teleprompter is you and a few other nuts... You got nothing so scoot a long...
Obama's safety net: the TelePrompter - Carol E. Lee - POLITICO.com

Quote:
Obama’s reliance on the teleprompter is unusual — not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small.

After the teleprompter malfunctioned a few times last summer and Obama delivered some less-than-soaring speeches, reports surfaced that he was training to wean himself off of the device while on vacation in Hawaii. But no such luck.
I do believe CNN, ABC did stories on his addiction. Not to mention all the blogs.

why do you act as if no other POTUS has ever used a teleprompter? I don't understand the obsession. Probably just jealous because Obama can form a coherent sentence, unlike GWB.

Yes. His use of the teleprompter is unprecedented. Of course past presidents have used the tele, but not like obama does.

Obama's safety net: the TelePrompter - Carol E. Lee - POLITICO.com

A crutch - most often used by those of weak will and mind.

so someone is actually keeping stats on teleprompter use? And, no, I didn't read your link. Is it by minute, or is it by percentage of time he has actually spoken to a crowd? Sorry. I don't buy it.

I've been trying to get answers on this as well, but their fixated on this teleprompter. I've only seen it report 1 days on the news. But these people just refuse to acknowledge no difference in reading from the prompter or a piece of paper.

They've endured 8 long years of Bush's sorry excuse of a presidency so they are using anything on Obama as payback. They're funny.

It's fairly obvious if you pay attention. He can't even welcome heads of state to the WH without using it - hence his flub with the Irish(?) PM. Every speech, every event, he uses his crutch - totally unprecedented.
