Wake up! Is anyone suggesting a ban on cars? Look at California, england, Australia. We just want to register your guns. Noone will come and take them, Thust us! Well wadda ya know! the came and confiscated them! Registration leads to confiscation every time.
Exactly!!! Hell, all one has to do is to read history and realize what registration of guns leads to.
No actually you can drive your unregistered car as much as you like...on your property.
And the unregistered car is fully functioning.
Try again.....
Also how about that pesky 5th Amendment????
Oh, I see... I suppose if you have your car towed or flat-bedded to your private property and you drive it around in your backyard, you don't have to register... bravo!! The registration requirement is for normal use of a vehicle... if you want to get around that, then I suppose you can. The point is the issue of registration is not something that would be unique to gun ownership. The analogy is not perfect as most individuals probably do not walk around in the public with their gun but I think the government has the reasonable right to make sure that dangerous items, even items that cannot be banned, are registered and owned by non-dangerous people. Hell, I had to show my ID and sign in order to purchase Sudafed the other day! Apparently folks use it to make Crystal Meth.
There's a fact that no one from the left wants to acknowledge. It must be nice to have blinders that work only when the truth makes you uncomfortable.

I hope you are only playing an attorney online....
It was a Supreme Court case that was won by the felon.....
Try again.
Dude, I would love, love, love for you to give me the citation of the Supreme Court case that ruled that the government cannot force you to do anything that would reveal a past crime. Please forward that case to me immediately because I missed that in my Con Law classes...
Let's drop the distraction about cars and stick to guns. vsmove, you need to educate yourself about this subject. You have been buying the liberal medias hype. Do some research.

This sound familiar?
If you have 5 minutes and an open mind, you can substantiate it yourself. I don't throw out crap like folks on this board love to do. And i'm talking about real polls... not online polls that are targeted by the NRA.

But those were banned in California, correct? Or were they confiscated if not registered?
Registered and confiscated if not turned in or removed from the state.
