In spite of the advancement of the civil rights movements - it was the democrats that found another way to suppress blacks - take a temporary program and make it a lifestyle. Today welfare is a lifestyle for people of all races.

The mafia also contributed to the suppression of blacks and hispanics. When it came to drugs the mafia had a creedo that drugs were limited to black neighborhoods and it was something that didn't touch white neighborhoods. Back in the day when someone or a family went outside the boundaries there were hits and wars amongst the mafia families.

Keeping people in poverty and addicted to drugs are great suppressors.
