I guess you need to explain that term that you use to answer so many posts. I think I know what it is when a lefty uses it but then one uses the term only and it is hard to tell what it is being applied to.
The union I used to belong to before I retired was on strike some years ago, a few people from Canada Free Press came to our picket line with the intention of passing out information leaflets. I can tell you we chased those few asses away with their tails between their legs in a matter of minutes. Most sane thinking people think World Nuts Daily prints nothing but a bunch of right wing crap, same with Canada Free Press only 10 times worse.
I belonged to a union once but when they admitted they were a teachers' union I withdrew. I am not a support of unions which makes me right leaning and that means we don't appreciate the same kind of stories. You is a lefty and I is a righty so we will have to agree to disagree on most things.
Well, since I am not a GOP supporter, I guess maybe it has nothing to do with political affiliation just as most issues that confront this country have nothing to do with political affiliation. Please, leave your petty political prejudices at the door and actually focus on the threat that words like these represent. What, do you think Lefties or Democrats would be allowed to stay in the newly formed Mexican Socialist Republic? No matter who you support or what your affiliation may be, you should always be concerned when rhetoric like this is used. We've been hearing about Muslim insurgents for years now. We should be able to recognize insurgent style rhetoric when we hear it. Or maybe only those with open minds can see past the blinders political ties have placed over our eyes. Face American issues with the rest of the Americans, stop hating one another based on whether they are a donkey or an elephant.

You can surrender to la Raza and the others or just the Cubans which is your kind but I don't think that most people in the southwest other than Juan McCain and a few others there plan to do it easily. The fighting will begin fairly soon, I think.
What we are missing is that Roy believes in a White (Anglo) America, just read the title of the thread. Of-course some of us here already have information from other places that gives us that little bit of knowledge, and I will leave it at that.

Who the hell wants a "gringo America?" The thought of that makes me want to barf.
But those illegal types who want to fight it out consider the Mexicans whose families have been here since the late 1800s to be either like them or white.

The southwestern U.S. belongs only to the native peoples, not to Mexicans.
I'm pretty sure that the Papago, Navajo, and Hopi aren't the least bit interested in being reconquered by fatuous and arrogant immigrants from Mexico. Throughout history, these people have had to fight off the aggression of Mexicans.
This whole "reconquista" nonsense is just a bunch of Mexican guys who feel disempowered and want to take back the power for themselves. They aren't the least bit interested in justice. It's simply another tedious and boring case of phallic jousting. Only here it's tinged with racial and class conflict. Same old thing, since the beginning of time.
I always was told that the cave dwellers of the southwest were there many thousands of years before those people wandered in from eastern Asia by walking across the land bridge that is now the Bering Straits. Now maybe the Indians that were there when the Spaniards got there weren't the original owners, either.
The southwestern part of the United States has belonged to the United States since about 1848. The Indians have been allowed to live there but on reservations.
Do you suppose any of those descendants of the Asians I talked about had any phallic jousts with the people they found when they arrived? I guess that is what it has always been about and those with the best weapons always seem to win.
I always wonder how far back we are supposed to go "to be fair" about who owns what and who should be living where. As other posters have mentioned, the cliff dwelling tribes were the 'first' that we know of in modern times living here. If anyone should get the land, it's those tribes.
The Spaniards, as has been pointed out, were on an imperialist quest when they came to the new world and killed everyone in sight, or moved them out of the way. Many of the group we call "illegals" are of Mayan descent, and their ancestors were cruelly treated by the Spaniards. BTW - the Spaniards at that time were "Moors" - they were Muslims. When the Moors Ruled Spain The Moors were ruling Spain when Spain took over what is now the American Southwest and Mexico. The Mexican culture is - in many ways - the way it is because they have these Muslim Roots - and were Muslim for hundreds of years. While we think of Mexico as largely Catholic, it is a Catholicism built on Muslim roots. Also, as Carlos Mencia points out regularly, this is why it is sometimes hard to tell the difference between the Arabs using our porous border to come across and the usual gaggle of Mexican workers.
What boggles my mind in all of this is -
1) They are running AWAY from Mexico to live in the land of opportunity.
2) Yet their behavior and their plans to do away with we evil gringos will only extend the corruption and despicable living conditions of Mexico. Why risk your life walking across a 120 degree desert to turn the place you are running to into a rathole?
3) Once the gringo leaves - so does KMart, Walmart, Home Depot, Welfare; US Taxpayer-funded hospitals, roads, infrastructure, lighting, police, fire, EMT services, and on and on and on. So all they will have is more misery.
4) If any of us were to go to Mexico City and do what they did in California, we would pretty much spend the rest of our lives in a dirty Mexican jail. They love the fact that they have the freedom to protest, yet they spit on the very freedom and want to destroy it by creating Communism in its place - - a form of government that, like Socialism, has NEVER worked.
The mind boggles.
