I am quite surprised by your response. Certainly not something I expected from the radically liberal left. But I do agree with you.

deporting ALL illegals would create a huge vaccum in all sectors of society in the US. thats unreasonable, unfeasible, economically disastrous, fiscally ridiculous. that wont happen.

This is one of those questions that seem simple but really aren't. Like someone else said, magically it could work. Realistically it probably won't help as much as people think. More money would have to be spent on deporting..and keeping people from coming back..than we currently spend. I don't know what the offset would be.

additionally, how much worse would that make the real estate/housing business. are people from outlying areas going to flock back into urban areas once inhabitted by the deported illegals?
we would have an abundance of empty/foreclosed homes.
and thats just one angle.
mass deportation wont work.

a slower extended account and vetting of these people would be possible. but as one fell swoop, no.

True, and if they're in jail for facilitating illegal labor they can spend some time rethinking the meaning of "profit."

I voted that it would help. If you really want to live in a better country lets rid ourselves of the biggest white elephant of all, NASA

Without NASA we could fund free healthcare for every man woman and child in this country with no co-pays. Even enough to cover cosmetic surgery to anyone who wanted boobs or a flat tummy or a smaller nose. There would still be enough left over to make damn sure that no man, woman or child in America would ever go hungry or homeless ever again. There still would be more left over to send any American to college who wanted to further their education at no cost to the student.

This is just for starters.
