They dont care about that. They would have been all over it if it was white kids beating up a black kid.

The amount of racism on this thread is just disgusting. We are talking about a fight on the school bus for God's sake. It's not even clear what the motivation for the fight was. Even if it was racially motivated, why on Earth is this shocking to anyone? MANY of our high schools are full of racial tension that erupts into violence every day. Black kids jump white kids and white kids jump black kids. Why is this school bus fight a news story at all?Because FOX news has an agenda, that's why.
Is it any wonder kids are behaving this way when their parents are filling them with prejudice and making comments like I've read here?
Like I said in an earlier post - it's obviously been awhile since these people were in high school. Fights break out about the most trivial things and none of the other kids rush to break up the fights - they stand in circles and cheer like it's a prime time boxing match.
I don't even know why this is a news story - this happens every day. Somewhere in a school in this country students are fighting right now.

Truth is the bus driver ought to be brought up on charges for not doing anything about this. Your childrens safety is in they're hands between your house and the school. The company is standing behind the bus driver, stating that he followed company procedures. He was on an overpass at the time of the beating, so he couldn't pull over. I'm not defending him. But if you've ever worked in the realm of public education, including bus driving, etc, you will find that adults are pretty much powerless when it comes to matters of discipline and order. They can and have had lawsuits slapped on them by miffed and/or irresponsible parents who are more apt to believe that their little Johnny was in the right. Kids have all the power these days and they know it.

so when he told them to sit down FIVE MINUTES after the first fight he was still on an overpass? must be a long bridge.
all he had to do was stop the bus and get up and turn around and say something. maybe make the bad kid sit up front.
