As far as the other comments he wasn't suggesting everyone that disagreed with Obama was a racist, but simply the intensity of the anger could be racially motivated. If you disagree with those comments fine, but don't sit there and suggest he called EVERYONE who disagreed a racist, because he simply did not do that.
Every President is going to receive death threats due to policies. It is unfortunate and disgusting. However, I don't think you can deny that a big part of the reason Obama is receiving so many more death threats than Bush is much bigger than just policies, but also due to his racial, and ethnic background.
Absolutely will deny it. Obama is talking about uprouting and changing america as we know it, violating the constitution, increasing the national debt to levels unprecidated which further pushes the nation to bankruptcy, and hell, probably some of the death threats are from the left, who are upset over Obama not doing enough for gays, expanding upon Bushs policies, not ending wars, you know, following through his campaign pledges and becoming more of the same.
I'd acknowledge that race obviously is a factor but to pretend that death threats are up 400% because of his race is pathetic without any data.
I remind myself of the "Obama Joker" poster, one that has "socialist" on the bottom, do you know this poster was created by a liberal who was upset Obama wasnt doing enough to move the liberal adjenda? It was indeed the right who added the word "Socialist" to the poster, but I'd say the left is extremely agry over Obamas continuing policies of the Bush administration..

You can make all the excuses you want but the bottom line is that Carter said those that demonstrate against Obama are doing it not because they are not happy that a black man is President. Be blind all you want but that is what he said.
And this thread alone shows that because death threats are higher then Bush's it must be because people are raciest. It could never be that people are really upset with the direction Obama is taking the country. Oh no it can't be because Obama promised us "Hope and Change".
