Should Black Males be Mad When Whites Stereotype Them Because of Their Higher Crime Statistics? (society, great)

I don't really see a specific question or issue. Some of things you said are patently false; the notion that white crime is couched in mental illness more than black crime is unsubstantiated. To speculate on your intent, though-no, I don't think it's unfair for my girlfriend to be more wary of a black person than a white person should she be alone. To say "the stats are what they are" as a sort of back-handed way of dismissing them is silly. African american men commit a revolting percentage of the crime in this country. Fact. Thus, being more skeptical of a member of said community is very much rational.

people tend to associate crime stats to reflect that a group or race are morally better or worse which isn't always the case. perhaps some may have better control or able to channel thier aggression in other ways. of course there are good people who don't commit crimes as well and there are bad people who don't either or cover it up well so they don't get caught or do evil things in such a way that the law can't indict or prosecute them. it's important to realize that good and bad people exist in all races. some may have more ignorant members but from my experience crime stats don't reflect whether a group is full of good or bad people on a personal level. it's like saying someone with bad table manners is a bad person vs one who has excellent table manners.

The problem with using race to justify fear is that it's only part of the equation. Being rational requires looking at the total picture.

I think you should be mad at young brotha's not for making YOUR life hard (which I doubt is all that difficult to begin with) and be angry for their disrespect of all those who fought and still fight for them to have greater opportunities.
