That said, your examples are not typical scenarios of women who have abortions any more than pictures of fetuses aborted at 24 weeks are what typical aborted fetuses look like, since most abortions are performed at 12 weeks or earlier.

I'm sorry -- ectopic pregnancy is so frightening and you're right, IT KILLS. People are just so ignorant of the medical facts and all the things that can go wrong with a pregnancy. I have heard horror stories of women with suspected ectopic going into a Catholic hospital for "care." It should chill anyone's blood.

I agree. Especially with the part that the woman is ALREADY HERE. If the woman dies, she may leave behind children, husband, parents, friends, etc etc.
It is not right. I wish we could save both. If there is ever a way, I hope we find it. Until then, there is no doubt in my mind that the woman comes first.

I don't think that anyone here said that when the mother's life is in danger there isn't a gray area. Nobody said that at all. Of course your life is valuable and should be saved. Absolutely.

I am glad you have more sense than others.
There are other people who expect the mother to give up her life for the fetus and that abortion should not be allowed despite that. It makes my blood boil when I read or hear that I should just die because the pregnancy got complicated. Sure, just leave me there to die on the operating table.

Due to endometriosis, I too had an ectopic pregnancy which ruptured; by the time my ex got me to the ER (then left to play tennis) I couldn't walk and had a rigid abdomen. All I could think about was not living to raise my
son. Fortunately, he was spared the trauma that your precious daughter knew...I'm so sorry, and so empathetic. We are lucky to be here.

The abortions that Dr. Tiller preformed were late term (meaning after 20 weeks) on mothers who had progressing heart failure stressed by pregnancy or some other life threatening condition. These mothers would not live to see their infant become viable outside of their womb.

Tiller was murdered by a mad man. Nobody I know condones murder, be it of an unborn child or a doctor. There were probably a few cases like that, but our medical technology has progressed to such a point where those cases are few and far between. Tiller took MANY more lives than he saved.

You are sorely incorrect, you're about 18-20 weeks off. Fetuses cannot feel pain until the late second trimester, early third trimester according to all reputable sources.
