And of course if anyone out there is against this many posters on here will chime in with the usual "they hate guns, they hate America, blah, blah, blah" B.S.
It's so easy to accuse someone of something they can't possibly prove or disprove.
"Let me get this straight - a pro-gun group uses the Newtown tragedy to promote their message, and everyone says it's tasteless, offensive, insensitive, etc. Anti-gun groups use Newtown to promote their agenda, though, and nobody says a word about how disgusting and exploitative that is. Lovely double standard there, eh?"

I think that comment says it rather nicely!
I'm not anti- gun but Newtown does illustrate some need of gun laws/ better mental health care awareness in this country. Anyone that thinks I'm an anti- gun freak is free to do so. My life will move forward in any case.

Well, lets see. One group is promoting what caused the tragedy and the other group would like to do away with what caused the tragedy.
Twenty-six people - mostly children - were killed by gunfire, and now some gun nuts want to make that date a "Guns save lives" day?
That is so very sick.
I am happy, and very proud, to be an American. But every now and then - thankfully, not often - something happens that makes me so very sad.
I think the idea is disgusting. That an individual or group can do this thing probably isn't in question - it's America, after all, and free speech is a right we cherish.
But that an individual or group would WANT to do such a thing is appalling to me. I just can't understand the lack of empathy for a community that suffered such a tragic loss ... by gunfire.
It's almost as if the individual or group wants to rub the survivors' noses in the blood of their lost ones. For what?

A hamster has more sensitivity - and humanity - than does Mr. Gottlieb.
