Even Bush? Big government Bush? Of course he wants to throw money at the problem - our money of course.

Well throwing money at the problem hasn't worked so far. Clinton threw a whole lot of money on Haiti when he was in office, little good it did.

Eeeeh...they are talking about disaster aid through private donations Doesn't have much to do with big or small government.

Blame Clinton and spin politics all you want, but there are three million people in dire straits in Haiti.

He's right, really. Obama promised $100 million (I think that was the figure) Where is he going to get it? We (the U.S. government) don't have it. He has already burried us in so much debt it will take generations to get out of it.

The Government has no money of it's own. What it has comes from the taxpayers. If Obama promised $100 million, he will have to tax us for it. Hence, Rush is right. We have donated.

Sorry. That is the reality of it.

If you can equate Rush with Pat Robertson, then I guess it's okay for us toequate Obama with Karl Marx, Mao, and Hitler. Right?

Heck, don't help. You donated your 30 cents through taxes so your job is done. There is nothing more you need to do. Seriously.

Maybe you could just allow those with some compassion and more generous hearts to help without you trying to tell them that they don't need to donate because of Obama. If people want to help, why won't you let them? I just don't get you guys.

In addition the the $100-million, the following is also taking place, all of which is being paid by US private sector workers (civilian workers also paid for the wages of government workers):

-Military hospitals in Haiti (Navy ships), people, supplies
-Marines already there, equipment, supplies, etc.
-Military aircraft, ships, boats, relief equipment and supplies
-Food, water, shelter, heavy equipment, generators, etc.
-Fuel for all of these aircraft and ships, and relief organizations.

On top of all of these, there are religious organizations that have been in Haiti helping, long before the earthquake, through it, and after, as well as new ones.

Also, while a lot of anti-Robertson poster blabber against him, Robertson Christian organization has been in Haiti for quite a long time helping Haitians with issues such as education, health, food, shelter, etc. And not only Robertson, but also most of the US religious organizations. These things have been taking place for many years, not only in Haiti, but the rest of the Caribbean islands. The Peace Corps used to be all over these islands years ago, helping with agriculture, business, education, health, and most aspects of these islands' economies.

Hollywood people are donating a lot of money. Sandra Bullock is giving a million but through Doctors Without Borders. Others are donating to certain charities NOT TO GOVERNMENT. Just smart like Rush said to do.

We gave money tonight at our church who is collecting money to send. I feel better that the money will get to the people and not to a dictator who won't let it get to the people.

No one is donating money to the government. The government web page which Rush talked about is a page with links to Red Cross, Docs Without Borders etc There is no option to donate to the government and no way for the government to steal your money or your information for election campaign year as Limbaugh claimed.
